The contact owns a 2019 Alfa Romeo Giulia. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V586000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was made aware of the issue and confirmed that parts were not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle hesitated while depressing the accelerator pedal. The contact stated that while exiting a gas station, the vehicle shut off with the "Check Engine" and "Service Electronic Throttle Control" messages displayed. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue but offered no assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.
The vehicle is subject to Alfa Romeo Safety Recall 93C (NHTSA Campaign 25V586) for a defective Fuel Delivery Module. The safety defect is an active, un-remedied hazard. The vehicle is currently located at [Name of Alfa Romeo Dealership] for an official diagnosis and is available for inspection. The vehicle has an active safety recall for sudden, catastrophic engine stalling at highway speeds due to fuel pump warping. Because the manufacturer has not provided a remedy or a safe alternative transport, I am forced to choose between driving a vehicle with an acknowledged highway-stalling hazard or being completely deprived of my transportation. The vehicle cannot be safely operated in commerce until Recall 93C is performed. The vehicle is currently undergoing inspection by the manufacturer's authorized technicians at the Alfa Romeo dealership. It has also been reviewed administratively through a claim with the National Center for Dispute Settlement (NCDS), which was denied based on mileage despite the active federal safety recall. The vehicle displayed an "Excessive Oil" warning and experienced heavy smoking from the engine bay beginning around June 25, 2026. While the vehicle has also been undergoing cooling system repairs, the presence of these severe engine warnings and thermal symptoms creates an immediate escalation of risk when combined with the active 93C fuel pump recall.

Check engine light, electronic throttle control warning, and auto start/stop warning lights illuminate intermittently. OBD scan revealed codes P018B and P018D (Fuel Pressure Sensor B Circuit). Freeze frame data shows fuel rail pressure at 20,030 kPa under full throttle load, significantly below expected range. Engine running lean with short term fuel trim at +11.7%. Dealer and FCA confirmed awareness of fuel pump recall 93C covering this vehicle but no remedy currently available. Vehicle poses stall risk under acceleration
Airbags

The contact owns a 2019 Alfa Romeo Giulia. The contact stated his son was driving at 25 MPH, a pick-up truck vehicle in front of him abruptly depressed their brake pedal, and his vehicle crashed into the rear of the vehicle in front of him. The contact stated that no air bags were deployed in his vehicle. The contact stated that his son sustained a head injury due to the impact of the accident. Medical attention was required. The contact stated that a police report was filed. The vehicle was not drivable from the scene. The vehicle was towed to A & E Auto Body Shop. The contact mentioned the seat belt did not retract. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was filed. The approximate failure mileage was 60,000.
I was in an accident on 7/25/2024, my vehicle was completely stopped and pulled over. The impact occurred when another vehicle, traveling at around 35 mph or less (the posted speed limit), struck my vehicle with significant force, the rear suspension of my structural frame of my vehicle was severely damaged. Given the intensity of the collision and the resulting damage, I’m concerned that none of my airbags did not deploy, despite the damage being substantial. In light of this information and my vehicle being totaled loss, I have a few additional follow-up questions: 1. Since my vehicle was stationary at the time of impact and the other vehicle was moving at a considerable speed, could the lack of deceleration on my part have influenced the airbag system’s response? How does the system account for impacts where the struck vehicle is at a complete stop? 2. You mentioned that neither the engine compartment nor the structural frame rails were compromised, yet the repair estimate indicates severe damage to the frame. Could there be a discrepancy between the vehicle photos and the actual damage assessed later? 3. Given the nature of the impact and the resulting damage, is it possible that certain sensors related to airbag deployment could have malfunctioned or were unable to accurately measure the severity of the crash? 4. The airbags are designed to deploy based on the severity of a frontal crash and longitudinal deceleration. Can clarification be provided on how side or angular impacts are accounted for in the vehicle’s safety system? Is there any supplemental protection, such as side airbags, that would activate in those types of collisions? 5. Given that the accident involved a side impact, could there be factors related to side-impact protection that should have activated other safety features? 6. Are there additional sensors or mechanisms that monitor the severity of non-frontal impacts?

Car suddenly got p018c & p018b codes along with (setc) notification while on freeway and continuously would go in and out of limp mode when accelerating or breaking which nearly caused me to crash. when arriving home I check my fuel pump relay and it looked burnt or overheated, I tried replacing sensors as well as relays but the problem remains whenever accelerating or breaking at low speed now, just without the check engine light.

Brakes

The contact owns a 2019 Alfa Romeo Giulia. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, the parking brake activated independently. While attempting to disable the parking brake, the parking brake failed to disable as needed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 63,000.
When traveling at approximately 40 mph, the vehicle displayed a service electronic throttle control warning. Turned on the engine light, then after 1 second the vehicle shut off while in motion with no warning. This disabled all power including brakes and power steering. After clearing engine code vehicle worked for around 20 minutes before repeating while idle in my driveway. Engine code displayed is p008a. (Low fuel pressure)

The air bags failed to deploy. In addition, the forward collision warning did not engage. No warning lights illuminated. The contact's wife sustained head, neck, lower back, and left rib injuries which required medical attention. The contact's wife was transported by ambulance to the nearest hospital. The contact sustained right hand, ribs, shoulders, and lower back injuries that also required medical attention. The vehicle was towed to an impound lot where it remained. The vehicle was pending an inspection from the insurance company to determine if it was destroyed. A police report was filed. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The contact became aware that the vehicle was included in the NTSA Campaign Number: 24V510000 (Airbags); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The failure mileage was approximately 58,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was driven to the residence nearby. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. THE SUNROOF OF MY 2019 ALFA ROMEO GIULIA EXPLODED WHILE WE WERE DRIVING ON I95 IN CONNECTICUT. THERE WERE NO OVERHEAD TREES, OVERPASSES OR CAR AHEAD THAT COULD HAVE KICKED UP ROAD DEBRIS. THE TEMPERATURE WAS AROUND 90 AND HUMID WITH NO CHASE OF RAIN OR HAIL. THE SUNROOF MADE A LOUD BANG AND SHOWERED EVERYONE IN THE CAR WITH GLASS, IT ALSO SHOWERED AND CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE CAR FOLLOWING ME. THE EXACT CONDITIONS WERE DRIVING SOUTHBOUND ON I95 AT 65MPH

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2019 ALFA ROMEO GIULIA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE HER HUSBAND WAS DRIVING AT 50 MPH, THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE TIRE EXPERIENCED A BLOWOUT. THE TPMS WARNING LIGHT THEN BECAME ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE DRIVER'S SIDE FRONT TIRE WAS REPLACED. AFTER PICKING UP THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT'S HUSBAND HAD DRIVEN LESS THAN 50 MILES BEFORE A BLOWOUT TO THE DRIVER'S SIDE REAR TIRE. THE CONTACT'S HUSBAND INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND BECAME AWARE THAT THE TIRES SHOWED EXTREME WEAR TO THE SIDEWALLS. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO ALFA ROMEO OF WILMINGTON PIKE (99 WILMINGTON PIKE A, CHADDS FORD, PA 19317) WHERE THE DEALER ACKNOWLEDGED AN ALIGNMENT ISSUE WITH THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE OWNER WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY TIRE FAILURES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 11,000.
