The defect: Brenner Tank, LLC (Brenner Tank) is recalling certain 2026 TKQXFR tank trailers equipped with split rear impact guards. The incorrect emergency valve was installed. The valve may be damaged during a crash and leak.
The risk: Hazardous liquids may leak onto people near the tank, increasing the risk of injury.
The remedy: Brenner Tank will replace the emergency valve, free of charge. Owners may contact Brenner Tank customer service at 1-800-558-8265.

The defect: Brenner Tank, LLC (Brenner Tank) is recalling certain 2025-2026 TKQXFR tank trailers. The internal and outlet valves may corrode and leak.
The risk: Hazardous liquids may leak onto people near the tank, increasing the risk of injury.
The remedy: Brenner Tank will replace the internal and outlet valves, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed October 23, 2025. Owners may contact Brenner Tank customer service at 1-800-558-8265.

NHTSA opens an investigation to examine whether a safety defect may exist. An open investigation is not a determination that a defect exists, and many investigations close without a recall. Investigations can, however, lead to one.
Manufacturer communication
Manufacturers file copies of the bulletins they send to dealers with NHTSA. These often describe diagnostic or repair procedures for a known condition. They are not recalls: repairs described in a bulletin are usually only free if the vehicle is still under warranty or the manufacturer has extended coverage.
