1995 Chevrolet Beretta Body & structure Problems

Owner-reported complaints naming the body or structure system, filed with NHTSA

Data refreshed

Body & structure reportsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

I HAD MY CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP BECAUSE THE AUTOMATIC DOOR LOCKS WERE NOT ENGAGING WHEN I PUT MY CAR INTO DRIVE AS THEY SHOULD. SO, I TRIED IT MANUALLY ON THE AUTO LOCK SWITCH WITH NO REACTION I HAVE NOTICED THAT IT DOES THIS MAINLY WHEN IT IS COLD OUTSIDE. BUT, THE PROBLEM DID NOT OCCUR UNTIL THIS YEAR. THE MECHANIC GOT OUT HIS DIAGRAM BOOK ON THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS ON THE CAR AND DECIDED THAT IT WAS A RELAY, THAT'S THE ONLY THING THAT IT COULD BE, HE SAID. AFTER BEING CHARGED AROUND $80.00 FOR LABOR AND PARTS, I WAS CONFIDENT THAT THE PROBLEM WAS CORRECTED. THE NEXT MORNING, IT DID THE SAME THING. AGAIN, I FEEL THAT I WAS RAPED BY THE DEALERSHIP!*AK
