What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 1993 Chevrolet C2500, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

I STARTED HAVING PROBLEMS SHORTLY AFTER BUYING THIS VEHICLE AND IT HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP EVERY 6 TO 8 MONTHS EVER SINCE. TO THIS DATE I HAVE HAD 15 HEATER CORES, 2 RADIATORS, ALL HOSES, 1 MOTOR, AND 2 SETS OF GLOW PLUGS REPLACED. EACH TIME A COMPONENT FAILS I GET THE TRUCK BACK WITH THE DEALERSHIP TELLING ME THAT THEY "FIXED" THE PROBLEM NOW AND I WON'T BE COMING BACK. SINCE IT TAKES 6 TO 8 MONTHS FOR THE PROBLEM TO RECUR I AM NOW STUCK WITH A LEMON VEHICLE THAT CONTINUES TO HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM FROM DAY ONE AND IS NOW OUT OF WARANTY.
RADIATOR, WHICH WAS MADE OUT OF PLASTIC FOR A HEAVY DUTY VEHICLE, MALFUNCTIONED EVERY 3 YEARS. HAS BEEN REPLACED TWICE. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION AND VIN#. *AK
