2016 Chevrolet Camaro Powertrain (other) Problems

Oh wow I don't even know where to start. The second I came home with the car for $32,995 off the used dealership it was a horrific disaster. I have replaced the rear fuse panel 2x already(water damage). The amp was fried from water damanage. The ambient lights and screen along with the gear lights only sometimes work. My morimoto aftermarket headlights wiring all have completely melted and needed to be replaced and that is just the small things. The car has always had severe driving malfunctions. These include: Jerking when putting into gear (any gear), shudders, it will rev up when i am braking, usuallu after a small hill or bump it will get really loud like it is in a much higher gear, it looses power and goes into random limp mode, the car has recently died in mid drive just completely lost acceleration power until it died. It will start right back up, but then same thing. Now when driving it will slightly jerk and steer to the side ever 3 seconds. Enough for me to hold the steering wheel tight. These are a few of the codes it reads, although some codes come and go, but these remain on: P12E7, P12EC, P12F4, P12F9, P0121, P0171, P0161, P0131, P069E, B097B, B1395, B1516, B1517, B260E, B260E, B2615, B2745, U0800, U1808, U0109, U007C. nOW MY BIGGEST PROBLEM IS THE CAR IS SO BAD IT IS NOT DRIVABLE AND NO ONE CAN TELL ME THE PROBLEM. IT VIOLENTLY JERKS WHEN TURNING AS IF SOMEONE HIT ME FROM BEHIND GOING 50MPH. iT USUALLY DOES IT WHEN I TURN THE WHEELS SLOWLY LIKE ON TURNS, BUT IT ALSO DOES IT WHEN STOPPING AT A RED LIGHT AND THE LIGHT TURNS GREEN IT JUST BOOOOOOM. iT IS SO LOUD AND AND SO VIOLENT IT IS AS IF MY BACK END FELL OFF. aLSO THE TIRES ARE LOCKED UP AND WHEN I TURN IT MAKES MY TIRE SCREAM. THESE PROBLEMS HAVE BEEN GOING ON SINCE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE AND GOT IT HOME AROUND 70K MILES AND NOW I AM AT 160K WITH THE SAME PROBLEMS AND THEN SOME. The contact stated that while attempting to start the vehicle, the vehicle failed to immediately start-up. Once the vehicle was at the dealer, an employee used a handheld scanner, and the check engine warning light was no longer illuminated. The dealer informed the contact that the vehicle was repaired, and an emissions test was conducted without the contact's permission. The contact took the vehicle back to the residence. The contact stated that the cooling fan failed to function as intended. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to Auto Zone, and the contact was informed that DTC: P0128 and P0811were retrieved; however, the warning lights were no longer illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to an emissions testing center and was informed that the Transmission Fluid Temperature (TFT) Sensor "A" had failed and had not been repaired. The contact was informed that the vehicle had passed the emission test; however, a failure was present, and the vehicle should not have passed the test. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 185,100.

The torque converter on my vehicle is faulty. It has a violent shake, slippage of gears, and sometimes even loss of power while driving. Sometimes the violent vibrations cause me to have to slow down abruptly amongst traffic. Several mechanic have identified the torque converter as the problem.

Every sense the car was bought from the dealership and it would rain the trunk leaks and holds water to cause electrical damage and problems. I took it back to the dealership and they said they didn’t see a problem but there was a problem. Currently I am so hurt to have a car I can’t drive under raining conditions and now my trunk smell of moldy and its problems due to electrical issues. The trunk leaked enough to cover the fuse box caused lots of electrical problems.

On Friday August 12th 2022 at 9:30pm check engine light came on after car was sitting turned off for a few hours while my fiance was buffing/polishing/waxing the car. Checked the chevy app, it didn't list any problems. Took it to auto zone. They ran diagnostics. Came back codes P0711 and P0700. Made appointment at AAMCO Monday August 15th. Car was not smoothly down shifting and when put in drive or reverse would jump slightly. AAMCO basically said the transmission was bad. Which I can't understand how that could happen, it's a 2016 only has a little over 70,000 miles on it and is extremely well taken care of. I'm being told we have 2 options either the whole transmission needs to be taken out and rebuilt to find the problem, an estimated $3000-$6000. Or 2 the TCM can be replaced/reprogrammed for over $2500 which is not a guaranteed fix. They also told us a few other chevys with low miles also needed a transmission rebuild! So what is going on Chevrolet!? And we're still making payments on this car and it's already having expensive problems!

I noticed an occasional shudder at highway speeds. Traveling between Spokane to Coeurd'lene, a 30 or so mile distance, two episodes each way. The shudders are noticeable and there were very slight shudders before which I thought were hesitations before the last time I drove the car. I have had a difficult time to get it in the dealer as soon as I mention shudder. I was able to schedule a transmission flush without mentioning shudder.

AUTO NATION CHEVROLET ON LEE VISTA BLVD, ORL. FLORIDA. THEY DETERMINED THAT IT WAS A CATASTROPHIC ENGINE FAILURE. THE ENGINE HAS BEEN TAKEN APART INTO MANY PIECES AND MUCH OF IT IS SITTING ON THE DEALERSHIP SHOP FLOOR. THE MECHANIC SAID THE ENGINE FAILURE WAS DUE TO A DEFECTIVE VALVE CASING AND A DEFECTIVE SPRING..DAMAGING THE CAMSHAFT. ALL VALVES AND SPRINGS AND CAMSHAFT WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. CHEVY HAS DECLINED MY REQUEST FOR A NEW ENGINE..THEY SAID THAT DECISION IS UP TO THE DEALERSHIP SERVICE MANAGER. I SPOKE TO HIM...HE SAID THAT THE COST TO REPLACE THE ENGINE MUST BE WITHIN A FEW HUNDRED DOLLARS VS REBUILDING THE ENGINE FOR HIM TO AUTHORIZE THAT THE ENGINE BE REPLACED.. THIS IS NOW 3 WEEKS IN DURATION WITH NO CAR, WHICH COST ME CLOSE TO $50,000 AND ALMOST HAS CAUSED ME TO BE IN 3 ACCIDENTS. I AM APPEALING FOR YOUR INTERVENTION.
