UPON FRONTAL IMPACT, RIGHT REAR OF DRIVER'S SEAT CAME OUT OF TRACK. THIS ALLOWED THE SEAT TO SHIFT FORWARD. THIS FORWARD SHIFT OF THE SEAT ALLOWED THE KNEES TO MOVE FORWARD AND IMPACT BOTTOM OF LOWER DASH PANEL, BREAKING IT. GM HAS BEEN CONTACTED BUT DOES NOT SEEM INTERESTED IN PURSUING ANY INVESTIGATION AS TO THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE IN THE SEAT COMPONENT. GM FILE NUMBER FOR THIS INCIDENT IS 000175282.
