The defect: General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2026 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1X Coupe, Corvette ZR1X Convertible, Corvette Coupe E-Ray, Corvette Convertible E-Ray, Corvette Convertible, Corvette Coupe, 2025 Corvette E-Ray Coupe, Corvette E-Ray Convertible, Corvette Convertible, and Corvette Coupe vehicles. A software error may prevent detection of a rear turn signal light failure. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
The risk: The driver may be unaware that the turn signal is not working, increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy: The lighting control module software will be updated by a dealer, or through an over-the-air (OTA) update, free of charge. Owner notification letters are scheduled to be mailed May 18, 2026. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020. GM's number for this recall is N252541250. The defect: General Motors has decided that certain 2027 Chevrolet Bolt EV, 2025-2026 Cadillac OPTIQ, Chevrolet Colorado, Equinox EV, GMC Canyon, 2026 Buick Enclave, Envision, Cadillac CT5, Escalade, Escalade ESV, Escalade IQ, Escalade IQL, LYRIQ, VISTIQ, Chevrolet Blazer EV, Corvette Convertible, Corvette Coupe, Corvette Convertible E-Ray, Equinox, Silverado 1500, 2500, 3500, Silverado EV, Suburban 1500, Tahoe, Traverse, GMC Acadia, Hummer EV Pickup, Hummer EV SUV, Sierra 1500, 2500, 3500, Sierra EV, Terrain, Yukon, and Yukon XL vehicles. The radio may not have been set to the correct status to download the electronic owner's manual during production. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 208, “Occupant Protection.”
The risk: Without an owner's manual to consult, owners may not know how to safely use and operate the vehicle, increasing the risk of injury in a crash.
The remedy: Dealers will reset the vehicle radio, which will facilitate automatic download of the electronic owner’s manual, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 16, 2026. Owners may contact GM customer service at 1-866-467-9700, Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020 or Cadillac customer service at 1-800-333-4223. The defect: General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2023–2026 Chevrolet Corvette vehicles equipped with a left-side radiator/fan combination. Excess fuel may spill into the vehicle fuel-filler pocket during refueling and leak onto an ignition source.
The risk: A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source, such as hot engine or exhaust components, can increase the risk of a fire.
The remedy: Dealers will install a shield to divert spilled fuel, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 14, 2025. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020. GM's number for this recall is N252514930.

Re: URGENT SAFETY CONCERN – 2026 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 NHTSA Campaign No.: 25V536 GM Recall No.: N252514930 Dear NHTSA Office of Defects Investigation, I am writing to provide additional information regarding my 2026 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 and to respectfully request an urgent investigation into whether my vehicle should have been included in NHTSA Campaign No. 25V536 / GM Recall No. N252514930. My concern is extremely serious because my vehicle is experiencing a gasoline-related condition that appears consistent with the safety hazard identified in this recall. According to NHTSA's official recall documentation, certain 2023–2026 Chevrolet Corvette vehicles equipped with the left-side radiator/fan combination may allow excess gasoline spilled during refueling to enter the fuel-filler pocket and reach an ignition source, increasing the risk of a vehicle fire. The recall remedy includes installation of an insert/protective shield intended to divert spilled gasoline away from surfaces behind the quarter panel. General Motors' investigation identified multiple fire incidents involving Corvettes equipped with the relevant radiator/fan configuration, including customer-owned vehicles and a GM development vehicle. GM also conducted physical testing that reproduced fuel ignition under simulated spill conditions. My 2026 Corvette Z06 is experiencing a strong gasoline/fuel odor, including fumes noticeable inside the passenger compartment, and I am deeply concerned that my vehicle may have the same underlying fuel-related safety condition addressed by this recall. Most importantly, my vehicle appears to lack the protective safety shield that was established as the recall remedy. For this reason, I respectfully ask NHTSA not to rely solely upon why this car was sold when there is no protective safety sheild.
