2022 Chevrolet Express Problems

Owner-reported complaints filed with NHTSA, grouped by component

Data refreshed

Owner complaintsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

What this page shows

Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2022 Chevrolet Express, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.

Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

I have 2023 Jayco Redhawk SE mounted on a Chevy Express 4500 Cutaway chassis with only 5300 miles on it. Chevrolet dealer ran diagnostics and replaced an ABS sensor which had no impact on the problem. I have an appointment to have it looked at by another dealership recommended by Chevy Customer Service. It is not safe to drive, going up straight steep grades on the interstate the right rear wheel keeps locking up under acceleration. Best I can tell the system just starts braking hard on the right rear and maybe both rear wheels even though you are trying to accelerate. It gets worse on steep entrance and exit ramps or steep curvy roads. Almost always when this happens there is traffic following closely at highway speeds (55 to 70 MPH).
