2000 Chevrolet G35 Problems

Owner-reported complaints filed with NHTSA, grouped by component

Data refreshed

Owner complaintsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

MY SIDE CARGO DOOR HINGES SIZED UP BECAUSE WHEN THEY MANUFACTURED THE 2000 CHEVY EXPRESS 3500 THEY DIDN'T MAKE THEM WITH GREASE FITTINGS. SO THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO TO GREASE THEM NOW I AM STUCK PAYING ANYWHERE FROM 1500 TO 2000 USD. THE BLUE BOOK ON MY VAN ISN'T WORTH THAT MUCH,I AM STUCK WITH A VAN THAT SIDE DOOR WON'T OPEN & NO ONE WILL BUY. I FEEL THAT THIS IS A MANUFACTURE DEFECT BECAUSE THERE IS NO GREASE FITTINGS TO OIL.I HAVE SPOKE WITH DEALERS & THEY HAVE SEEN MORE THAN THEIR FAIR SHARE OF THIS PROBLEM. ONE REASON IS THAT IT TAKES A LOT OF TIME TO REPAIR THE OTHER REASON IS PERSONAL, THE FACT THAT THE PARTS ARE DEALERSHIP ONLY! I RUN MY BUSINESS OUT OF THIS VAN,THE ENGINE IS IN GREAT SHAPE BUT I CAN'T DO ANYTHING WITH IT BECAUSE OF THE HINGES ARE BROKEN. H E L P! *TR

Too few reports in this category for a page of its own — they appear in the full complaint list.

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
