Leaking break fluid on my feet with sponge breaks dealer absolutely no help

Trailer brakes and lights come and go. I start with having everything then loose brakes and lights when I’m driving. This is apparently a known issue that they have a fix for but I have never received anything about a recall.

moved the truck on to the lawn and put it in park turned truck off. got out of the truck and went into the garage and 5 min later came out and saw the truck started to roll and went 50 ft and hit a tree.

Transmission has shifting issues (hard shifts) . Vehicle is available for inspection upon request. Safety could be an issue if the transmission fails while driving that could cause harm to the vehicle driver and put others at risk. Vehicle is scheduled for inspection however the dealer is very backlogged.

I was driving down the XXX Expressway Sunday, XXX, with my children in my vehicle. This is a very heavily traveled highway in [XXX] with heavy traffic. My 2024 Chevy Silverado 3500 Diesel HD Truck with 25,500 miles suddenly started throwing multiple codes, lost power, and steering. Fortunately I was able to "roll into" the emergency lane while muscling the steering in that direction and engaged the emergency brake. My other son was following shortly behind me in his vehicle and pulled over to assist us about 30 mins after my truck was sitting stalled in the HWY. He parked his truck behind mine, put on his hazards, and we were transferring gear from my truck to his truck. At this point my 2024 Chevy HD Silverado Diesel started rolling back on it's own and nearly crushed my son's friend. The parking break was on and it suddenly released on it's own. It took 3 grown men to stop it from crushing my son's friend. The force was so strong that when he lifted his hand to try to stop the truck from rolling, it broke the right rear tail light. He could have been crushed between our two trucks from this situation. I have never been notified by GM of any recalls, however, the truck had to be towed to Ferman Cheverlotte service on Adamo Dr, Tampa Fl and is currently sitting on their lot. I was told by the service tech Michael Stevens that the vehicle had several open recalls that they would address but did not offer any information about what could be wrong. After searching online, I found that GM IS aware of this issue and sent several service bulletins about this exact problem. I had contacted the Ferman service center the week before to bring the truck in because the AC was out and made an appointment for service on Tuesday. The day after I made the appointment my batteries died and had to be replaced by AAA.It is disturbing to know GM and FERMAN Service centers are aware of this safety issue on these HD trucks and never informed me, the consumer. The contact owns a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 3500. The contact stated while driving at approximately 60 MPH, the front driver's side and passenger's side wheels shuddered when the vehicle drove over a pothole or an object in the roadway. No warning light was illuminated. The contact researched and was made aware of Technical Service Bulletin Number: PIT6154A; however, the vehicle was not included. The vehicle was taken back to the residence. A dealer was contacted however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 13,000.

The tailgate spontaneously unlatches without operator input while driving or parked. The dealer thinks it is caused by moisture in the latch gate switch. The tailgate has spontaneously unlatched on several occasions while pulling a trailer without the driver/operator being aware this has occurred. Then when making a turn the tailgate wedges into the trailer jack and makes the tailgate inoperable. The bodyshop quote to repair the tailgate is: 2,275.92 Dinsdale Chevrolet dealer says there is not a recall and has declined to pay for repairs. Email Subject I am reporting a serious safety-related defect involving sudden and complete vehicle shutdown while driving in a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV RST. Component/System Involved: The failure appears related to the 12-volt electrical system and associated vehicle control electronics. When the vehicle detects the 12V battery as dead or critically low, it immediately disables propulsion and control systems. The exact failed component is UNKNOWN. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. Incident Description: This failure has occurred twice under similar conditions (ambient temperature approximately 25°F). On November 28, 2024 and again on January 2, 2026, after driving approximately two blocks at low residential speeds, the vehicle abruptly and completely shut down while in motion. In both incidents, the shutdown was immediate, without warning, and accompanied by a loud thud and an extremely abrupt stop. Safety Risk: In both incidents, the vehicle became completely immobilized in the roadway. I was unable to steer to the side of the road, restart the vehicle, or shift it into gear to move it out of traffic. This created a significant risk of collision. A similar failure at highway speeds could result in a severe or fatal crash. Warnings or Prior Symptoms: No warning lamps, messages, alerts, or other symptoms appeared prior to either shutdown. Problem Confirmation or Reproduction: The issue has occurred twice under cold-weather conditions. Inspections: After the first incident, the 12V battery was inspected and no issues were found. Following the second incident, the vehicle is currently being inspected at a Chevrolet dealership. No police or insurance inspections were performed. This behavior suggests the vehicle lacks a fail-safe or degraded-operation mode for 12V system failure and instead performs an immediate shutdown while in motion, which may represent a serious safety defect warranting investigation.

The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, who discovered metal shavings inside the fuel filter and diagnosed that the High-Pressure Fuel Pump was faulty and needed to be replaced. The high-pressure fuel pump was replaced, and the vehicle was repaired. Later, while hauling a trailer on the highway, the vehicle unexpectedly stalled. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, who diagnosed that the fuel pump control module had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 19,000.

There is an electrical / turn signal and trailering issue. Not towing- the right turn signal gives a rapid flash when the automatic headlights are activated or in off position. The rapid flash goes away when manual headlights are used both running lights and on. Although the light still works with a rapid blink, there is a dash error message and it’s impossible to know while driving if the error is real or not. This issue is intermittent when auto headlights are selected. Towing- bigger safety issue. The trailer lights only work properly when headlights are in auto mode and daylight. When it gets dark, the headlights turn on and error messages happen and trailer lights go out. There are also error messages when manual running lights or manual lights are activated. Thus it appears there is no way to tow an RV safely at night. This did not occur on my 2021 Chevy 3500. These issues are wide spread but GM is doing nothing about it. Please help me, the other owners, and the public from these dangerous vehicles.

I was towing my 36 ft 5th wheel home from my storage place when the engine stopped. I had no brakes or power steering. I was coming up to a stop sign when this occurred so fortunately I was only moving about 15 mph. I was able to stop the truck and trailer by using the 5th wheel braking system without any damage to vehicle or other property. Once I regained my composure I tried to start the truck. All the dash lights were on but it would not start. The digital display kept showing Service ECM & Service StabiliTrak. I had the truck towed to the dealer where it is right now. They have been unable to replicate the issue and have no suggested fix at this time. I had no prior warning messages or symptoms of the problem. All of this happened Sunday April 5, 2024. The truck is a 2024 and I bought it new, picked it up November 30, 2023. Current mileage is 3,523. If I would have been towing on the Interstate at 60-65 mph around a curve this could have been catastrophic.

With just under 900 miles the Steering wheel is turned to the left. There is a knocking noise when turning corners which the truck is now at the dealership for the 2nd time since I bout it.

I keep getting a chunking noise coming from the rear of vehicle. Twice I have taking in to the dealer and I was told this condition may be caused by movement between the anchor plate and axle assembly. They have re-torqueing the joints of the leaf springs assembly. it coming loose. It has happened after 4,000 miles. This tells me that it can come loose while I am driving! GM has a service document ID: 5501065. It has been happening since 2020!

Vibration occurs when driving at highway speed. Vibration can be felt in the steering wheel, drivers seat, and passenger seat. I believe this is related to my vechicles front hub bearing extensions. there was a TSB for this issue on presious model trucks and the same part is used on 2024 models.

The engine oil cooler failed causing engine oil to leak into the coolant system on my 2024 Chevy Silverado 3500HD. This requires a full replacement of the coolant system. In addition, excessive sludge buildup inside the motor is caused. This is a known issue with GM for 2024 Diesel vehicles. GM has released a service bulletin but is fighting my local dealership on the required repairs.

At approximately 35,126 miles the oil cooler cracked and flooded my engine cooling system with over 2.5 gallons of oil causing catastrophic engine failure.

Wiper totally quits working when using it. May start again and may not. So far dealer has not fully solved problem

The truck intermittently disconnects and reconnects from the trailer. Trailer brakes don't work briefly when this happens. At night when truck and trailer lights are on the truck detects trailer is disconnected, this happens every few minutes. Note: I've seen a bulletin about solar panels on the trailer, I do not have solar panels on the trailer. Also, blind spot mirror indicators at night are almost constantly on. When the trailer and truck lights go off, the blind spot indicators work as intended.
