I own a 2024 Chevrolet Tahoe RST and have experienced recurring electronic/electrical problems despite multiple dealership visits. The vehicle repeatedly displays “Open Then Close” window messages for the passenger or driver window even though the windows function normally. While driving, the infotainment screen has repeatedly gone black, causing the audio/music and audible turn-signal indicator/chime to stop working. On one occasion while stopped at a red light with the vehicle running, the infotainment screen and entire instrument cluster went blank and rebooted. The Chevrolet logo remained displayed during the restart, and the audio and turn-signal chime stopped working. The dealership has been unable to duplicate the issue but has performed software updates. The problems continue. Most recently, the vehicle displayed “Service Transmission Now — Unable to Shift Soon.” The warning disappeared. The dealership then stated the 12-volt battery was low and needed replacement before accurate diagnostics could be performed. I replaced the battery, and afterward the check-engine light came on. A complete diagnostic has not yet been performed because my appointment was rescheduled. I am concerned these recurring electrical/electronic issues, transmission warning, and check-engine light may indicate an underlying safety-related defect. I am requesting that GM formally document and investigate these concerns.

Tahoe was purchased new in November 2024. Vehicle currently has around 37,000 miles and has been regularly serviced by GM dealers. On Sept. 9, 2026, was driving in moderate rain and wipers just stopped working. After stopping at a nearby gas station for about 5 minutes or so, the wipers again began working. I am currently having intermittent wiper failure. Sometimes they are really slow even on the “high” setting. Something is wrong with them and fuse was checked and is good. This creates a very dangerous situation that could cause serious injury or death if the wipers (on a new $80,000 vehicle) suddenly stop while driving in rain. This is a serious danger to public safety and GM needs to issue a recall for a fix. Research online indicates GM is aware of the issue under TSB PIE0774, but is not offering resolution to vehicle owners. As well, online research shows a class action lawsuit is pending. The NHTSA needs to take prompt action and direct GM to correct the matter for public safety.

Upon getting into vehicle , a pooling of fluid was in the all weather mats.. with a visible leak line from top of mat to the pooling area on driver side. It did not dry as water would and it was a slightly oily feeelign and left an oily residue. Several day later after the vehicle sat over the weekend, more pooling was noticed with same leak line at top of mat to area where pooled. Upon further investigation and with picture documentation a dead on line for line leak from the brake down pedal shaft onto the all weather mat . and once at the mechanics it was confirmed to be a leak of the master cylinder. Many recalls have been done on other models as well. My warning light or module also has not alerted to the loss of brake fluid.

Brake System Failure 62 MPH Top Speed Service ESC Service Brake Trailer System These warnings appeared on 04/30 and my brakes became extremely hard to use to stop my vehicle. I had my two young children in the car, I was able to go up hill and shift it into park after driving 15 minutes basically with no brakes. It was towed to Hendrick Chevrolet, where they replaced the master cylinder. On May 5th I was driving the car and the service brake assist light came on with the message. I then had it towed to Hendrick where it stayed until July 28th. The dealership stated that it was an external leak in the master cylinder. Now for the 3rd time the brakes are making a squealing noise and the service brake assist light is on again. I do not feel safe in this vehicle.

Engine locked up from crankshaft bearing failure, mega fuse blown My wife and I were driving 70mph on a highway when I lost the throttle and other power. I pulled over to the side the best I could but barely over the white line. It was a dangerous situation for us & tow trucks, the engine was locked up & the flat bed truck couldn't tow vehicle. The 2nd truck was a reaper style truck which was dangerous to setup on the side of highway. The dealership diagnosed and replaced engine to their guidelines. I requested the oil cooling lines & housing be replaced as well to avoid metal debris to enter new engine to avoid recurring engine failure. At first both requests were denied, then another dealer represntive said the oil lines would be replaced but the housing would not be. I even offered to pay for that replacement which was denied. I invested a lot into the vehicle, I was assured the original recall and engine oil change would be sufficient. I also purchased to dealer premium care package to really take care of my vehicle investment.Engine failure was around 29,000 miles. The engine failure happened on a Sunday morning, I didn't receive any loaner car or rental car until Thursday affecting my work transportation. Once the dealer rented me a car, I asked if I needed anything to pick up the car, dealer rep said no. Once at rental car place, I needed a credit card and ID, I was charged $250 for the time I had the rental car. The rental car was not close or comparable to my vehicle, which I still had to make payments while it was broken at the dealership. I really worry about my safety, reliability and travel going forward with this vehicle. I also am very concerned about the vehicle losing value due to known issues. There was no warning signs until the failure, I believe the dash message said 'please press start' or 'press start'. Overall this has been a tough and stressful situation with my expensive vehicle investment. Vehicle unavailable- 7/26-8/17

While driving, my Chevrolet Tahoe suddenly developed a severe, rhythmic bottom-end engine knock, indicating a catastrophic internal mechanical failure. I immediately took the vehicle to an authorized Chevrolet dealership on May 29, 2026, for emergency diagnosis. The dealership technicians officially diagnosed the issue as a severe lower-end engine failure. They deemed the engine unrepairable and determined that a complete long-block engine replacement is required. As of today, July 6, 2026, the vehicle has been sitting at the dealership for over 5 weeks and has yet to be fixed. The prolonged delay and sudden mechanical failure present a severe safety hazard, leaving me without a vehicle due to known GM manufacturing defects currently under NHTSA investigation. This report is being filed to document the failure of the 6.2L engine lower end, the necessity of a full long-block replacement, and the ongoing repair delay.

Vehicle: 2024 Chevrolet Tahoe RST The backup camera and HD Surround Vision system on my 2024 Chevrolet Tahoe have experienced repeated failures despite multiple repair attempts by an authorized Chevrolet dealership. The failure presents as a black screen displaying a red warning triangle and a crossed-out camera icon when the vehicle is placed in reverse or when camera views are selected. The parking sensors continue to function, but no camera image is available. The vehicle was first repaired in July 2025 (6705 miles) after the dealership diagnosed heat damage to the rear camera coaxial cable located in the liftgate area. The cable was replaced, and the vehicle was returned to service. The camera system failed again the same day. The vehicle was subsequently returned to the dealership, where the liftgate harness was replaced in Aug 2025. Following the repair, the camera system operated normally for a period of time before the same failure condition returned. At approximately 16,500 miles (May 2026), the backup camera and HD Surround Vision system have again become inoperative. This represents at least the third occurrence of the same issue despite prior repairs involving replacement of camera-related wiring components. The loss of the backup camera and surround vision system significantly reduces rearward visibility while backing, parking, and maneuvering the vehicle. Because the condition is intermittent and recurring, the driver cannot reliably depend on the camera system to function when needed. I am submitting this complaint because the issue has recurred multiple times after repair attempts and may indicate a broader defect affecting the vehicle's camera system.

I am reporting a serious safety concern involving a 2024 Chevrolet Tahoe with approximately 23,000 miles.I have a video recording of it . While the vehicle was being driven, water suddenly began actively dripping from the rear cabin light/headliner area into the interior of the vehicle. There were children inside the vehicle at the time, including a child seated directly underneath the area where the water was dripping near the child seat. A significant amount of water is entering the vehicle and continues dripping throughout the interior cabin area. The water appears to be coming from the upper rear cabin/light area and may have entered the electrical system or interior electronic components of the vehicle. I am extremely concerned about potential electrical hazards, safety risks, corrosion, and malfunction of electronic systems caused by water intrusion inside the vehicle. This vehicle has relatively low mileage for its age and has not been modified. The condition appears to involve a possible manufacturing, sealing, or drainage defect. Because children are transported in this vehicle daily, I believe this issue presents a serious potential safety concern and should be formally investigated. My vehicle started having stuttering/shifting issues back in August 2025, I was advised the vehicle did not need new engine but upgraded oil. I continued to have the issues and have continued to bring back to dealer for constant software updates - cannot duplicate issue meanwhile the stop sale order was issued and I was not advised. The vehicle then experienced very hard jerking- stall- that lead to the dealership putting an AWD IN 2WD calling it a fix! Just got vehicle back again after a complete stall at a stop sign- causing vehicle to roll back and cut back on! Dealer stated the vehicle showed the stall/shutter but could not duplicate on road test. This is a serious safety issue!!

The contact owns a 2024 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that while driving at 76 MPH, the vehicle was driving abnormally rough. The RPM increased, and the message to shut-off engine and restart the vehicle was displayed. The contact stated that the failure occurred while the two minor children and their friends were inside the vehicle. The contact's daughter stated that the vehicle was in neutral after leaving the car wash. In addition, the failure occurred while driving on a busy two-lane highway. The vehicle was almost involved in a crash twice when the engine seized in the middle of the left lane. The contact stated that while attempting to drive the vehicle to the shoulder of the road, the engine seized. The contact stated that while attempting to start the vehicle, the vehicle failed to restart. The local Police assisted with traffic control. The vehicle was towed to the dealer; however, the failure was not duplicated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The dealer was informed that the Mobile App indicated a transmission and engine failure. The dealer informed the contact that because the engine seized, the engine needed to be replaced. The dealer informed the contact that there was no indication of what caused the engine to seize. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. The contact referenced an unknown recall with a similar description; however, the VIN was not associated with the unknown recall. The contact was advised to contact the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 16,988.

Dealer checked the 6.2L motor for known defects. It "passed" inspection on 11/20/25 and got the thicker oil (OW-40). The engine lost propulsion ("died") 3 times on a 55mph State Highway on 02/09/26 with my 4 year old in the car with me. It died and came to a complete stop in one lane and would not re-start initially with cars almost rear ending us and needing to aggressively swerve to avoid hitting us. After 4 or 5 attempts it started again (making terrible grinding noises) so I could get it off the road before it died again. It started again to drive home on the back roads approximately 1 mile. Low oil pressure and check engine lights came on. I also received notifications from onstar and from the my Chevy app that there were severe motor or transmission problems. I scanned it with an OBD II Scanner and it has code P00016 (Camshaft Position Correlation - Bank 1 Sensor A). It got towed to the dealer and is now confirmed it is in need of a full motor replacement less than 3 months after they told me the motor passed inspection! This is not acceptable. To be told it's fine and then have it fail with my child in the car is extremely unsafe. Now I'm stuck trying to get a comparable loaner vehicle from the dealer to drive in the snow and mountains with my family safely while they expect to have the vehicle at minimum of 6 weeks. So far they have not found a loaner potentially putting my family in further danger by not having a 4X4 vehicle in a snowy climate.

I have a 2024 Tahoe that was purchased new from the dealer and has 13,700mi. The first service was completed as required in December with no issues identified. Less than 2 months later the front wheels started making a squeaking sound intermittently when accelerating, coasting or breaking. There were no warning messages. The dealership/mechanic looked over the car & said that the front brakes were measuring 2mm (completely worn out) but no other issues. Before drop off the car computer said above 75% or more for front and rear breaks (green). I have been driving the car in normal condition in southern ca. It seems that the break pads were defective and degraded at an alarming/unsafe rate or that a different component on the car caused them the continuously rub and wear down. The dealership blamed it on owner operation even though they supposedly checked them 2 months before and didn't see abnormal signs of wear. I am very concerned with the QUALITY, RELIABILITY & SAFETY of the front breaking system due to the fact that the breaks wore out so fast. I am worried that the problem has not been properly identified and that that breaks will continue to have this problem if it wasn't caused by faulty pads. I have never had a break wear problem like this before on any of the other 5 new cars that I have owned. This is the first American brand car I have owned and hopefully it's not a sign of things to come.

Upon restarting the vehicle the warnings didnt not go way for 1hr. 2 hours later the warnings cleared from the information system but codes remains. Vehicle was taken to Uptown Chevrolet, Slinger WI and was informed of a bad battery as the "cause" of the issue. A bad battery should not result in the loss of braking capability on any vehicle!

Front passenger wheel has a fracture. The structural integrity of the wheel is compromised and is causing the tire to leak air, which is dangerous and can cause loss of vehicle control and damage to suspension or brakes. It could also cause dangerous blowouts, which causes a safety concern for me and others on the road if that happens. The problem has been confirmed by the dealership where the vehicle was purchased. Photos were taken and submitted to GM for warranty. The warranty was denied. The vehicle has not been inspected by anyone else other than the dealership where the vehicle was purchased. The only warning lamps were low tire pressure warning. The fracture was found during inspection as to the cause of the low tire pressure.

The vehicle in question had approximately 5000 miles when low oil light came on, it was 2 quarts low. this was after the first oil change at around 3500 miles. I had the dealer do an oil consumption evaluation. They check the oil every 500 miles and confirmed it was using 2 quarts every 2500 miles. They informed me GM says this is normal. I cannot disagree more with that claim. GM knows they have a problem with the 6.2-liter engine. I have researched the issue and found they have a problem with the crankshaft machining and the oil delivery port beveling that delivers lubrication to the connecting rod bearing appears to be too large that causes the motor oil not to consistently keep the bearing lubricated. This causes the engine to be an "oil burner" and premature failure of the bearing. They think putting a heavier viscosity of oil in will delay the inevitable engine failure, which makes me believe they are aware of the faulty manufacturing and want to run from their warranty responsibilities.

See attached document for complaint. We are writing to express our concerns regarding ongoing and unresolved issues with our 2024 Chevrolet Tahoe High Country Deluxe Package, which we purchased on [XXX] from Titus-Will Chevrolet in Olympia, Washington. Our vehicle was ordered on [XXX] and delivered with 12 miles on the odometer [XXX]. The total purchase price was $97,889.61. This vehicle is equipped with a 6.2-liter Ecotec VB engine and a 10-speed automatic transmission. Since shortly after purchase, we have experienced intermittent audio output problems. With these problems, there is no audio for the radio, phone calls or mapping directions from any of the apps. Incoming phone calls do not connect and outgoing calls cannot be made. Despite multiple service visits-[XXX] as well as documented audio output issues my wife recorded and dated due to the fact that the dealership is 50 miles away: [XXX] We have also driven our vehicle into the Titus Will dealership service department twice when the audio output was not working so the service techs were able to see exactly what was not working-the issues are still unresolved even after updates from the service department and over the air updates that were to "FIX" the issues per GMC/Chevrolet. Our dealership has been unable to identify or correct the defect. Additionally, we received a Safety Recall Notice (N252494000) on May 20, 2025, concerning a potential loss of propulsion in the 6.2-liter engine, which may lead to catastrophic engine failure and increased risk of a crash or harm. We were surprised to learn that this recall was issued on April 24, 2025-prior to our purchase date-yet was not disclosed by the dealer at the time of sale, which also appears to be deceitful on GMC's part. We would not have accepted the vehicle knowing there were catastrophic engine problems as we travel the highways often visiting family in Idaho and Spokane as well as taking care of our elderly parents this last year with their medical care transports. The car continue to make clanking noise, but noise continued to get louder, took the vehicle back to the dealership for first oil change, verify the noise, and discuss safety recall received on the vehicle. Dealer told me the car was ok to drive. In October 2025, the vehicle loss power during acceleration with immediate re-start. After this incident, took the vehicle to another dealer where they inspected the vehicle again. The test failed and the car now needs a new engine. Car has now 10K miles in the odometer and has been sitting in the dealership for 3 weeks now waiting for an engine replacement.
