2019 Chevrolet Traverse Body & structure Problems

Owner-reported complaints naming the body or structure system, filed with NHTSA

Data refreshed

Body & structure reportsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Traverse. The contact stated that while shifting into park(P), the “Shift to Park” warning light illuminated, even though the vehicle was already shifted to park(P). The contact stated that the gear selector was shifted back and forth several times before it was recognized that the vehicle was in park(P). During the failures, the warning light remained illuminated, causing the battery to drain and the following day the vehicle was unable to start. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired.
