What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 1990 Chrysler Town And Country, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

GASONLINE WAS SPRAYING INSIDE THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT ON THE 3.3L CHRYSLER ENGINE ON MY TOWN AND COUNTRY MINIVAN. THE FLEX (RUBBER) FUEL SUPPLY LINE IS CRIMPED TO THE METAL FUEL RAIL AT THE FRONT OF THE ENGINE NEAR THE DISTRIBUTOR AND POWER STEERING RESERVE. I SMELLED AN UNUSUAL ODER AND OPENED THE HOOD TO FIND GASOLINE DRIPPING DOWN FROM THE ABOVE MENTIONED CONNECTION. I SLID BACK THE PROTECTIVE SLEEVE TO GET A BETTER LOOK AND GASOLINE SPRAYED OUT FROM THE HOSE. I SHUT THE ENGINE DOWN IMMEDIATELY TO AVOID AN ENGINE FIRE AS MY FAMILY WAS INSIDE THE VAN.
