2003 Damon Daybreak Problems
Owner-reported complaints filed with NHTSA, grouped by component
Data refreshed
What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2003 Damon Daybreak, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 DAMON DAYBREAK RV. WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH, THE BRAKES FAILED WHEN THE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. THE CONTACT HAD TO DOWNSHIFT THE RV AND USE THE BRAKES IN THE VEHICLE THAT WAS BEING TOWED. HE HAS NOT DRIVEN THE VEHICLE SINCE THAT TIME. THE DEALER EXPLAINED THAT THE BRAKE LINE WAS TOO CLOSE TO THE FRAME. AS A RESULT, WATER ACCUMULATED AND RUSTED OUT THE BRAKE LINE, WHICH CAUSED A HOLE IN THE LINE. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 21,000 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 23,000.
