INTERMITTENTLY WHEN APPLYING BRAKES OR WHILE AT A STOP VEHICLE WILL STALL OUT AND DIE WITHOUT WARNING. *AK CONSUMER STATES VEHICLE JERKS WHILE DRIVING, WHICH CAUSES DOORS TO LOCK AND CRUISE CONTROL GOES OFF, ENGINE REVS HIGHER THAN NORMAL WHILE AT A COMPLETE STOP AND WHILE DRIVING FORCING CONSUMER TO KEEP HER FOOT ON THE BRAKE TO KEEP FROM GOING TO FAST. *JB

BLOWN HEAD GASKET......OCCURRENCE WAS SHORTLY AFTER SERVICE DEPT. AT BRIAN BEMIS LEFT A SMALL PIECE OF HOSE IN THE THROTTLE AND STUCK THE THROTTLE OPEN, THE OIL LEAK STARTED SHORTLY AFTER. BRIAN BEMIS' SERVICE SAID THE OIL LEAK WAS CAUSED BY A BLOWN HEAD GASKET, W/ A QUOTE OF 750.00 TO REPAIR. THE QUOTE WAS GIVEN TO US IN JAN. OF 2000. CAR LEAKS APPROX. 2-4 QUARTS/DAY. HEAD GASKET NOT FIXED DUE TO COST, HUSBAND IS FULL TIME STUDENT, MOTHER AT HOME W/ KIDS, CAN'T AFFORD REPAIR. PLEASE HELP.

THE CRUISE CONTROL DID NOT DISENGAGE WHEN DRIVER APPLIED THE BRAKE PEDAL. THE SPEED INCREASED FROM 60-90 MPH. DRIVER HAD TO HIT THE OFF BUTTON ON THE STEERING COLUMN TO DISENGAGE SYSTEM. THE PROBLEM HAS BEEN CORRECTED. *AK
