What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 1993 Dodge W250, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

From owner reports, verbatim
AS I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY, MY VEHICLE SUDDENLY TOOK OFF FULL THROTTLE CAUSING A LOSS OF CONTROL. LUCKILY I WAS ABLE TO SHUT THE VEHICLE DOWN BEFORE ANY DAMAGE COULD BE DONE TO MY ENGINE OR OTHER VEHICLES, AND I HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED HOME. DODGE HAS A RECALL (#605), FOR THE EXACT SYMPTOMS I WAS EXPERIENCING, THOUGH MY INJECTION PUMP DOES NOT FALL UNDER THE DATE CODE. I TOOK MY INJECTION PUMP INTO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID THEY COULD NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. I THEN TOOK APART THE INJECTION PUMP AND FOUND THAT THE FULCRUM LEVER, THE SAME PIECE THAT CAUSED THE RECALL FOR RECALL #605, HAD INDEED BROKEN SENDING TINY BITS OF METAL THROUGHOUT MY INJECTION PUMP CAUSING THE RUNAWAY. I FEEL THAT DODGE IS RESPONSIBLE TO COMPENSATE ME FOR THE PARTS THAT WERE BROKEN, AND SHOULD ALSO EXTEND THE RECALL TO ALL CUMMINS DIESEL ENGINES EQUIPPED WITH THE VE PUMP. *TR
