The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving at highway speeds, there was a hissing sound coming from the steering column. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The failure persisted, and the vehicle was taken back to the dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the front driver side wheel hub and vacuum line to the integrated wheel end (IWE) actuator were faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 30,000.

Tire: P265 / 60 R 18 On June 25, 2023 at 1100 hrs, the left rear tire began shedding chunks and immediately had catastrophic tread separation. This caused a temporary loss of control narrowly missing collision with other vehicles. When the tread separated at least one large piece did not tear free and acted like a flail significantly damaging my vehicle (left read qtr panel and truck bed). This sudden tread separation was a significant safety risk to me and my passengers. Vehicle was inspected and tires rotated 1 week prior to the incident by a qualified mechanic. No warning lights were illuminated prior to the incident. Mechanics inspected the damage and tires and noted that the matching tire on the pax side shows signs of possible tread separation. Insurance Co was notified and assessment is scheduled.

265/60R18 The tire is a LANDSAIL. The tires on all four wheels have started to fail their is a noticeable line where the belts have be gone to pull away. I had one fail one the right front and replaced both on the front replaced at time of failure, the same failure has happened with a tire with the size 255/70R16 on a different truck with the same failure by the same band. Their has been no unusual use of the tires but have started this with less then a year on them on average the top speed that the truck goes is 75

All four of the tires on my vehicle are Cooper Adventurer Tires that I purchased at Pep Boys. I have two tires that are DOT UTUJ1HL1519 and two tires that are DOT UTUJ1HL0419. I received a notice that these tires were recalled under NHTSA Recall Notice 21T-002 and Cooper Tire recall notice 178. We have brought the vehicle to the Pep Boys located at 7465 N Mesa Street, El Paso, TX 79912 on at least 5 separate occasions. Rather than verify the tires and order the replacement tires, the desk clerk and then the Service Manager have given us the run around. The tires have now been recalled since March 2021 and we started to go into this store in May 2021 to get the issue resolved. The desk clerk has told us that the service manager, Robert Lozoya, turns away everyone who comes to the store with a tire recall notice. We provided them with a copy of the recall notice repeatedly and had the vehicle there to verify the DOT number. Mr. Lozoya is running this business in a manner that fails to comply with federal law and puts customers at danger for failing to order replacement tires, failing to comply with the federally-mandated recall, and intentionally delay the replacement process on unsafe tires that the NHTSA has determined "may lead to a crash".

TIRE TREAD SEPARATION ON FEDERAL COURAGIA TIRE. ONLY ONE TIRE HAS A SEPARATION ON THE RIGHT HAND WALL OF TIRE. NOTICED THE VEHICLE WAS VEERING TO ONE SIDE, SO VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO DEALERSHIP FOR INSPECTION. MANUFACTURED WAS CONTACTED ABOUT THIS BUT CLAIM THAT THERE ARE NO ACTIVE RECALLS ON THIS TIRE. 2015 FORD F-150. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO AIRBAG PROBLEMS, IGNITION PROBLEMS AND VEHICLE TIRES ISSUES. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED THE A/C BLEW OUT HOT AIR, THE TRANSMISSION WAS JERKY WHEN HE APPLIED THE BRAKE, THEN THE ACCELERATOR. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS FIRST STARTED, THERE WAS A LOUD GRINDING/GROWLING NOISE COMING FROM UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE BY THE DRIVER FRONT WHEEL, THERE WAS EXCESSIVE CABIN NOISE, AND TIRE NOISE. THE ELECTRIC ENGINE FAN CAME ON WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS SITTING OUTSIDE IN THE HEAT, THE UNDERCARRIAGE WAS SHOWING SIGNS OF CORROSION. WATER WAS LEAKING THROUGH THE DRIVER ASSIST HANDLE GRIP NEAR THE WINDSHIELD. *JB
