2023 Ford F-600 had leaking brake booster which caused the brakes to be constantly applied. On 8/15/25 less than one year ago, owner had front rotors/pads replaced and rear rotors resurfaced and pads replaced. There were no warning lamps or messages, the only symptom was the brakes squealed so we thought it was time to change the rear rotors since they had only been resurfaced last year. The defective brake booster could have caused loss of brake assist or brake failure. This is a commercial vehicle with an approximate GVWR of 22,000lbs that is used daily to service clients. A defective brake booster compromises the driver's ability to control the vehicle, potentially leading to a hazardous situation. The problem was diagnosed and repaired by a certified Ford repair center. All maintenance records are available for review. Owner has asked dealer to return defective part to them or tag it and keep on hand for potential inspection. Repairs have just been completed today.

Certain 2023 - 2026 Model Year F-250 – F600 Super Duty Vehicles with 6.7L Engines Powertrain Control Module (PCM) Software Update The affected vehicles were originally manufactured with Powertrain Control Module (PCM) software that did not provide the correct warnings when certain conditions are present in the Selective Catalyst Reduction (SCR) system as required and described in the Owner’s Manual.

POWER TRAIN
This article supersedes TSB 24-2142 to update the Parts List, Service Procedure (Steps 1-2), and increase the labor operation allowances to reprogram the PCM/TCM. Some of the vehicles listed in the Model statement above may exhibit all of the following conditions: Poor shift quality Illuminated powertrain malfunction (wrench) indicator with diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) P2704 and P0771 stored in the PCM/TCM. This may be due to a calibration in the TCM and/or wear between the input shaft and the E clutch hub causing the input shaft O-rings to become damaged resulting in an open E clutch circuit. Additional model information: 6.7L Diesel Engine 2022-2024 F-550 or F-600 F-Super Duty vehicles built on or before 15-May-2024 with over 5,000 miles (8,000km)
POWER TRAIN
Some 2023-2024 F-Super Duty vehicles built on or before 22-Jul-2024 and equipped with a 6.7L engine may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) P203B, P206B, and/or P2201:92 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). This may be due to the software in the PCM. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to reprogram the PCM using the latest software level of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) scan tool.
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
This article supersedes TSB 23-2426 to update the list of modules needing a software update in the Service Procedure. Some 2023 F-Super Duty chassis cab vehicles equipped with a 6.7L engine may exhibit an engine coolant temperature gauge falsely reading at the high end of the normal range while towing in high ambient temperatures with no diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) stored in the powertrain control module (PCM) or warning messages present in the instrument panel cluster (IPC). This may be due to the software in the IPC. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to reprogram the IPC. Note: Some vehicles built on or before 28-Feb-2023 may have TSB 23-2426 performed previously, but no IPC software update was available at that time. NOTE: The IPC software update that addresses the symptom listed in this bulletin may have been sent via Ford Power-Up software updates delivered over-the-air (OTA) to connected vehicles that have automatic updates enabled through the center display screen. Enter the vehicle identification number (VIN) in Professional Technician System (PTS) and check the "OTA Dashboard" under the "Connected Vehicle" tab for OTA update history. If an update to the IPC has successfully completed recently and the customer is reporting thesymptoms are no longer present, this article may not apply.
