2015 Ford Transit Powertrain (other) Problems

rear wheels lock up at highway speeds, F-150 is recalled, why is my F-250 not recalled same transmission 6r80. Please help. Thanks

Transmission, 6 speed, drops into 2nd gear locks up rear wheels. I was driving at highway speeds and the rear wheels locked up. My van skidded into another lane and almost caused an accident. My van has been down shifting for years but the rear wheels have never locked up. I shifted into neutral quickly to avoid an accident. I do not understand why this vehicle is not included in the recall. Ford has known of this problem and has done nothing for 10 years. I'm lucky my rear end did not blow up. (damage has been done) Ford should be responsible to repair any components that have been damaged from the downshifting and the rear end locking up. This is causing damage to my entire drivetrain. Please help me out, I have been waiting for this recall for years. I should be included. I need my faulty lead frame replaced. Thanks

2015 Ford Transit. While driving at approximately 60 MPH, the vehicle was at first humming loudly...thought initially it was a neighboring noisy car muffler, but the van starting shaking and vibrating abnormally. Upon decreasing the speed, a loud thumping noise from beneath the car was heard, then squeeling while debris was being left in the road behind, and finally a violent shaking that was almost impossible to pull over safely. The "hill assist" light was flashing on the dash. I towed the vehicle to an independant transmission show as I was 50 miles from my local Ford dealer.ntact had the vehicle towed to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the drive shaft flexible coupling was no longer present. The mechanic said that this is a known Ford issue and to have it towed there for the warranty/recall fix under NHTSA Campaign #19V767000 and #17S15 (Power Train) and the supercede Campaign #19S38. The vehicle had received an early version of the at-the-time fix of an updated flexible coupler. When contacting the Ford dealer, I was told that there were no recalls noted for my VIN. I contacted Ford, and was told that since I already had the "one-time permanant fix" that I was not eligble for any repairs under NHTSA 19S38 (which now specifies that that the flexible coupling is to be replaced with a new u-joint shaft connection). I thought safety recalls don't expire and the latest fix should be applicable/availble for this vehicle.

The vehicle began shaking when put in drive and when idling. A vibration was felt when beginning to drive, but when reaching 15 to 20 mph, the vehicle began shaking harder. The front driveshaft was replaced. The dealer stated that the rear driveshaft needed to be replaced but it is not part of the recall previously mentioned. The vehicle ultimately was not repaired. I have a 2015 ford transit 150 and I was driving home on the highway and out of nowhere my van downshift into I believe 1st or 2nd gear causing the engine to redline and the rear tire to lock up and cause me to lose control of the vehicle! For about 3-7 seconds in that time the cars behind me had to slam on there breaks almost rear ending me due to the abrupt deceleration from my vans rear tire locking up and as that happened the back of my van began to sway out from behind me and right at the time I believed I would have rolled over possibly killing me and injuring other drivers the van randomly went back into the proper gear allowing me to gain control and pull over. After I had time to process what just happened the check engine light came on and with my scan tool I read the code and it said that the speed sensor for the transmission had malfunctioned and after some research I found that similar year ford f150s with that same transmission and that same part number had recalled that part for the same issue! And I ask that if you would please save life’s by recalling this part it is not a debate it is a necessity please please recall this part

Initially my van began with a simple engine stall and total electrical failure while driving down the highway. The check engine light came on and the van was taken to the dealer to explore the problem. Multiple codes were found and were fixed which included coils, O2 sensors, fuel pump control module and several other things. Then a few days after picking the van up from the shop it had another engine stall while driving and check engine light. After taking it to the auto shop we informed of additional codes and problems which include catalytic converters, new battery, new alternator, and other things. Picked the vehicle from dealer and a few hours later the engine light came on along with engine stall while driving. I took it back to the dealer and I report problems with poor engine performance vehicle misfiring, rough running, poor fuel performance, check engine light, several engine stalls. Dealer diagnosed the van with needing a new Powertrain Control Module. Repairs were completed and upon picking the van up from the dealer the van wouldn't start, and dealer diagnosed the van with a bad fuel pump. To date we have spent over 30K in repairs, nearly 4 vehicle accidents due to engine failures, over 4 vehicle tow's, 5 battery replacements, and the van is currently awaiting new fuel pump replacement.

Ford performed a safety recall for driveshaft repair and the recall was performed - as a result of the upgraded parts (first section of driveshaft and ujoint) installed due to the recall, the driveshaft is out of balance due to the newly changed design of the driveline (going from a giubo joint to a ujoint). The vehicle now needs the rest of the driveshaft balanced (a ~15ft long driveshaft) as a result of the recall - this poses a safety issue because it could make the carrier bearings fail at any minute of operation

This vehicle (along with a few others) went to Preston Ford West in Randallstown, MD for recall 19S38/19V767. The recall specifically states, "RESULTING IN DRIVELINE NOISE AND VIBRATION." Once one of the other vans were picked up from the dealer, we experienced this issue at about 40mph. Our normal mechanic told us that it had a failing driveshaft. When the 3rd vehicle experience the problem (this van), I took it back to the dealer, who claimed that a bent rim was the issue. After the bent rim was fixed, I drove it & experienced the same vibrations from when it went in originally. After arguing with the staff & waiting 3 months, I am being billed for a new axle. Then our normal mechanic had to replace the wheel hub due to poor work done by the dealer. I opened a case with Ford Motor Company ([XXX]) but Ford is actually like there is nothing that they can do. I have spent almost $4k due to this recall & the Ford dealership's lack of knowledge of the products that they sell Attached is just one of the 2 Ford invoices & does not include the repair by our competent independent mechanic (any vehicles vehicles that our mechanic fixed run smoothly) Also attempted to call NHSTA with this info, but the rep was more interested in talking over me that allowed her to do nothing than helping to resolve a solution. Additionally, the contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V767000 (Power Train). The contact stated while the driver was driving at an undisclosed speed, he heard a loud stomping sound, and it seemed that a part had detached underneath the vehicle and was banging against the subframe. The driver depressed the brake pedal, but the vehicle failed to respond. The driver was able to pull to the median and engaged the electric parking brake to stop the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed that the driveshaft had detached, twisted, and damaged the brake lines. The mechanic replaced the brake lines, the driveshaft, the shaft seal, and couplings, and two fuel tubes. The vehicle was repaired. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 157,500.

On Jan.17th, 2022,the Driveshaft Flexible Coupling separated at Highway speed, taking out my Fuel Lines and severely damaging the Transmission and other under-body components. (Safety Recall Notice 19S38 / NHTSA Recall 19V-767) On May 19th, 2022, I received my 1st phone call from Todd-Judy Ford, Marmet, SC. w/Service Estimate for $5,725.75 of repairs he claimed necessary that would NOT BE COVERED BY FORD. , I know the guy was trying to pad the bill. I told him to talk to Ford Pro. On July,25th, 2022 Todd-Judy Ford called to inform me that my Van was “ready to go,” “completely fixed” I  left Sept. 9th, 2022 driving over 500 miles, to Todd-Judy Ford. Once there they started telling me about all the new parts they put into my Van, saying “You’ve got a “New Transmission,” at which point I interrupted him, saying that I knew it was a New Transmission “Case,” not a “New Transmission.” He then proceeded to explain that when they got the “New Case”, the Trans. Tech. inspects all the parts from my Trans., replacing anything it needs, while re-assembling into the “New Case.” He claims that it’s a “Rebuilt” Transmission! So, I ask, “Is there a Warranty on it, then?” To which he replies “Yes there is!” I looked at the paperwork and saw quite a few parts listed as used, which are obviously Transmission Components. I also see “Rebuilt Transmission” listed twice as Corrections!  My Van had a "Dead Battery" and a "massive exhaust leak". On Nov. 17th, 2022, just 51 days after picking up my Van, the Transmission failed! Towed to Rock-Hill Ford SC. It threw a Code of P0731, which is “Gear 1 Incorrect Ratio.” Multiple teeth from a gear sheared off. Ford Pro (Customer Service) then said “We can’t offer you any “Financial Assistance” on this repair. She said something else, about not having any other “Programs” to offer. I had never asked for Financial Assistance! I asked for the Transmission to be repaired under the Warranty from 51 day previous! Rock Hill Ford wants $9,806.09.
