The defect: Forest River Bus, LLC (Forest River Bus) is recalling certain 2025 Collins Bus transit buses. The lock on the emergency exit door may fail to unlock. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 217, "Bus Emergency Exits and Window Retention and Release."
The risk: An emergency exit that remains locked can prevent or delay passengers from evacuating during an emergency, increasing the risk of injury.
The remedy: Dealers will replace the barrel latch, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 25, 2025. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-620-888-3361. Forest River Bus's number for this recall is 551-1934.

According to Ford Recall 26V090: "Certain vehicles may have been built without the cotter pin that secures the brake booster pushrod to the brake pedal, which can cause the brake booster pushrod to separate from the brake pedal. The brake booster pushrod may disconnect from the brake pedal. This can result in a loss of braking function while driving, increasing the risk of a crash. Ford has issued a “do not drive vehicle” order. The vehicles in this program are not to be driven until the vehicle passes the inspection or the repair has been performed.

According to Ford Customer Satisfaction Notice 24B68: "The shifter cable may rest on the exhaust due to degradation of the hold-down clip retainer."
