What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2011 Four Winds Serrano, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

WHILE DRIVING IN FLORIDA AFTER PURCHASING THE RV, I RAN INTO A LIGHT RAINSTORM. THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS WERE IN INTERMITTENT MODE AND STOPPED WORKING AFTER A FEW MINUTES OF OPERATION. I COULDN'T GET THE WIPERS TO WORK UNLESS I PUT THEM IN "FAST" MODE. AFTER THE RAIN STOPPED WE DROVE FOR ABOUT AN HOUR AND RAN INTO ANOTHER RAIN SHOWER. THE WIPERS STARTED WORKING AGAIN IN INTERMITTENT MODE WHEN WE RAN INTO ANOTHER RAIN SHOWER. WITHIN TWO OR THREE MINUTES, THEY STOPPED WORKING EXCEPT IN "FAST" MODE. A SERVICE TECHNICIAN AT A CAMPING WORLD SERVICE CENTER SAID HE HEARD ABOUT THIS PROBLEM AND BELIEVED WATER WAS LEAKING IN AROUND THE WIPER MOUNTING POINT ON THE COACH AND CAUSING A SHORT IN THE MOTOR MECHANISM. *TR
WHILE DRIVING IN A LIGHT RAIN WITH THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS IN PULSE MODE, THEY STOPPED WORKING. WAS NOT ABLE TO GET WORKING EXCEPT IN HIGH SPEED MODE. AFTER STOPPING IN REST AREA FOR APPROXIMATELY 20 MINUTES, THEY BEGAN TO WORK AGAIN UNTIL BACK ON THE ROAD. AFTER APPROXIMATELY 15 MINUTES THEY QUITE AGAIN EXCEPT IN HIGH SPEED MODE. THE PROBLEM ALSO OCCURRED IN OCTOBER 2011 DURING TRIP TO EAST COAST. ON JUNE 25, 2012 AT 6,345 MILTES TOOK RV TO WORKHORSE WARRANTY CENTER FOR REPAIR. WIPER MODULE AND MOTOR WAS REPLACED. ON TRIP TO FLORIDA THE FIRST OF NOVEMBER 2012, THEY AGAIN STOPPED WORKING EXCEPT FOR THE HIGH SPEED MODE AT THE FIRST SIGN OF RAIN. HAVE TALKED TO OTHER OWNERS OF RVS WITH WORKHORSE CHASSIS AND THEY ARE ALSO HAVING TO SAME PROBLEMS. *TR
Too few reports in this category for a page of its own — they appear in the full complaint list.
Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
