What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 1996 Georgie Boy Cruise Air, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

From owner reports, verbatim
FORD ISSUED A SAFETY RECALL IN OCTOBER OF 2007 NUMBER 05S28 AS REQUIRED BY THE NHTSA. TO THIS DATE THEY HAVE NOT PROVIDED SUFFICIENT REPAIR PARTS TO CORRECT THIS PROBLEM. THEY CAUTION THAT YOU SHOULD NOT PARK THE VEHICLE NEAR HOME OR OTHER STRUCTURES. THEIR RECOMMENDATION IS TO HAVE THE DEFICIENT PART DISCONNECTED UNTIL PARTS ARE AVAILABLE. IS THIS ACTIVITY CONSISTENT WITH NHTSA GOALS ON SAFETY RECALLS? THEIR FIX SEEMS TO BE THAT CONSUMER TO BE SAFE SHOULD NOT USE THE PRODUCT THEY HAVE PAID FOR. CAN NHTSA FORCE FORD TO COMPLY WITH THE INTENT AND SPIRIT OF SAFETY RECALLS? *TR
Too few reports in this category for a page of its own — they appear in the full complaint list.
Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
