1995 GMC C2500 Problems

Owner-reported complaints filed with NHTSA, grouped by component

Data refreshed

Owner complaintsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

What this page shows

Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 1995 GMC C2500, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.

Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

THIS PROBLEM IS IN CANADA TOO, I JUST BOUGHT A 1995 GMC 2500 EXTENDED CAB FOR PULLING MY HORSES AND I WAS DRIVING IT HOME, I WENT TO MY FRIENDS HOUSE TO VISIT WHEN I WAS PULLING IN HIS DRIVEWAY I HIT THE BRAKES AN THE PEDAL WENT RIGHT TO THE FLOOR I BARELY STOPPED BEFORE GOING THROUGH HIS GARAGE DOOR AND I QUICKLY PUT THE TRUCK IN PARK. THE BRAKE LINES ARE CORRODED AND THE LINE RUPTURED ON THE DRIVERS SIDE RIGHT BESIDE THE FRAME RAIL. I HAVE NEVER SEEN A BRAKE LINE RUPTURE BEFORE AND WAS KIND OF PUZZLED THEN FOUND THIS SITE ONLINE AND I WAS SURPRISED TO SEE SO MANY LIKE COMPLAINTS OF THE SAME ISSUE. *TR
