Complaints grouped by the component NHTSA recorded
Percentages are of component mentions. A single complaint can name more than one component, so these do not sum to the total complaint count.
No recalls in our database for this model year

DASH HAS CRACKED IN A GARAGE KEPT DENALI. IT IS UNSIGHTLY AND SHOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED.
THE DASHBOARD HAS CRACKED IN TWO PLACES. THE VEHICLE IS GARAGE KEPT WHEN NOT IN USE. I AM CONCERNED THAT DASHBOARD PIECES MAY INJURE THE DRIVER OR PASSENGERS DURING A VEHICLE ACCIDENT.
WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY, THE DASH CRACKED. THE DASH HAS CRACKED IN FRONT OF THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT AND THE CRACK GOES INTO THE AIRBAG SECTION. AS I DRIVE, THE WHOLE DASHBOARD BOUNCES UP AND DOWN AS IT IS NOW UNSTABLE. THIS IS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM THAT MANY OTHER DRIVERS HAVE REPORTED ONLINE. A SIMPLE GOOGLE SEARCH BRINGS IT UP. IT WILL COST OVER $900 PLUS THE COST OF A WHOLE NEW DASHBOARD TO GET THIS FIXED AND THAT IS A QUOTE FROM AN INDEPENDENT, VERY ECONOMICAL REPAIR SHOP (NON-DEALERSHIP). I CANNOT AFFORD THIS AND WILL TRY TO USE TAPE. HOPEFULLY THE DASHBOARD DOESN'T BOUNCE OFF WHEN I'M DRIVING AND HOPEFULLY THE AIRBAG DOESN'T GO OFF. PLEASE SERIOUSLY CONSIDER A RECALL ON THIS. IT CRACKED ABOUT 3 MONTHS AGO AND I ALMOST DIDN'T ENTER THIS CLAIM ON HERE. I TOLD MY DEALER, BUT THEY DIDN'T PURSUE IT FURTHER. IMAGINE ALL THE OTHER PEOPLE OUT THERE WHO DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO OR WHO TO TELL. THANKS FOR YOU HELP.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 GMC DENALI. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DASHBOARD CRACKED WHERE THE AIR BAG WAS LOCATED. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER, BUT IT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED BECAUSE IT WAS OUT OF WARRANTY AND NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 75,000.
DASHBOARD CRACKING ALONG THE CONSOLE AND AROUND THE AIRBAG. SEEMS TO BE A DEFECT FLAW IN THE PRODCT USED FOR THE DASHBOARD

Complaint and recall counts across every year of this model
Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers. Older model years have had longer for reports to accumulate.
