1995 GMC S10 Problems
Owner-reported complaints filed with NHTSA, grouped by component
Data refreshed
What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 1995 GMC S10, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

Reports naming service brakes, the antilock braking system, brake hoses, master cylinders or the parking brake.
From owner reports, verbatim
GMC FAILED TO NOTIFY OWNERS OF 1995 CHEVROLET S10 PICK-UP OF RECALLS. UPON SEARCHING AND CONTACTING GMC DIRECTLY I FOUND THAT THEIR DATA BASE SHOWED TWO LISTINGS FOR S10 VEHICLES.. ONE IS LISTED AS AN S10, AND ONE AS A S-10. ONE SHOWED NO RECALLS OR CAMPAIGNS , AND THE OTHER SHOWED 7. THIS WAS DISCOVERED AFTER FINALLY GIVING THE REPRESENTATIVE AT GMC CAMPAIGN NUMBERS. EVEN THE GMC DEALERS DATA BASE AND RESOURCES SHOWED NO RECALLS. I WAS INFORMED THAT THE RECALLS DID NOT EFFECT THIS VEHICLE, BUT SEVERAL OF THE PROBLEMS WERE RELEVANT TO PROBLEMS I WAS HAVING WITH THIS VEHICLE. THE DEALER AND GMC REFUSED TO RECTIFY THE PROBLEMS. *AK
WHILE DRIVING AND WITHOUT WARNING THE ANTILOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) ENGAGED AND CAUSED EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE. *TT *JB
