PARKING BRAKE:DRIVELINE:HYDRAULIC:HOSES, LINES/PIPING, AND FITTINGSVEHICLE DESCRIPTION: TRUCK BODIES INSTALLED ON NAVISTAR 1652C CHASSIS AND EQUIPPED WITH AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS. THE PARKING BRAKE WAS ROUTED SO THAT IT CAN CONTACT THE LEFT FRONT TIRE. THIS CONTACT CAN CAUSE THE PROTECTIVE SHEATH TO BE WORN AWAY, POTENTIALLY CAUSING FAILURE OF THE CABLE.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY:CABLESTHE BATTERY CABLES WERE LOCATED EITHER ADJACENT TO OR TOUCHING THE TURBOCHARGER OF THE ENGINE. HIGH TEMPERATURES OF THE TURBOCHARGER CAN MELT THE CABLE INSULATION, CAUSING AN ELECTRICAL SHORT CIRCUIT.
VEHICLE SPEED CONTROLTHE HEATER HOSE ROUTING CAN INTERFERE WITH THE THROTTLE CONTROL SYSTEM.

EXTERIOR LIGHTING:TURN SIGNALINSTALLATION OF TWO OPTIONAL REAR SIDE TURN SIGNAL LIGHTS INCREASED THE BULB LOAD ON THE COMBINATION TURN/HAZARD FLASHER FROM 8 TO 10 BULBS, WHEN OPERATED IN THE HAZARD MODE.
