2007 Harley-Davidson Flhrs Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

What this page shows

Our database holds 3 NHTSA owner-reported complaints for the 2007 Harley-Davidson Flhrs. Each one is a report filed by an owner or driver and published by NHTSA without most of them being verified. DURING THE THREE PREVIOUS TRIPS TO WORK ON MY BIKE I HAD THE SHIFTER COME LOOSE. APPARENTLY INSIDE THE TRANS ITSELF, BECAUSE ON THIS TRIP MY SHIFTER DROPPED TO THE FLOOR BOARD AND I HAD TO LIFT IT UP WITH MY TOE TO DOWNSHIFT. THEN LEAVING A STOPLIGHT AS I REACHED THIRD GEAR THE BIKE SUDDENLY MADE SEVERAL LOUD BANGS, I SHUT IT OFF ROLLED TO A STOP AS IT STILL BANGED AND POPPED AS IF I THREW A ROD OR HAD ROCKS IN MY TRANNY. WHILE AT A FULL STOP I SWITCHED THE BIKE TO NEUTRAL STARTED IT AND IT RAN FINE SHUT IT OFF AND TRIED TO ROLL THE BIKE IT CLUNKED LIKE THE NOISE A REAR END MAKES WHEN YOU BLOW SOME TEETH OFF IT. *TR

I RECENTLY PURCHASED A 2007 HARLEY DAVIDSON FATBOY. FORMERLY HD HAD BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE SOLID FRONT AND REAR WHEELS ON THEM. IT SEEMS THAT THEY CATCH A LOT OF WIND WHICH CAN PUSH OR PULL THE BIKE SIDE TO SIDE. IN 2007 THEY PUT HOLES IN THEM TO LET WIND THROUGH, IT DIDN'T WORK. WHEN YOU GET ON THE INTERSTATE, IT'S AN ALL AROUND BATTLE JUST TO STAY ON THE ROAD. WHEN YOU PASS A TRACTOR TRAILER IT'S ALL YOU CAN DO TO HOLD THE BIKE IN THE ROAD. PLEASE TAKE A LOOK AT THIS PROBLEM BEFORE SOMEONE GETS HURT. *JB

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
