FRONT CAP OF A 2005 HAULMARK TRAILER HAS SPLIT OPEN. THIS CREATES AN UNSAFE OPERATING CONDITION. THE PLASTIC CAP COULD BE TORN FROM THE FRONT OF THE TRAILER AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS AND CAUSE A COLLISION, DAMAGE OR INJURY TO OTHERS ON THE HIGHWAY. I CANNOT USE THE TRAILER DUE TO THIS CONDITION. THE PURCHASE DATE IN APPROXIMATE. MY REGISTRATION WAS ISSUED 3/2005. HAULMARK HAS REFUSED TO RETURN MY CALLS AND EMAILS REGARDING THE CONDITION. I HAVE LEARNED THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE FRONT CAPS ON THESE TRAILERS. THE DATE BELOW IS THE DATE I FOUND THE DEFECT IN THE PRODUCT. *JB

I WAS DRIVING WITH THE TRAILER ATTACHED TO MY TRUCK AND ALL OF A SUDDEN THE TRAILER AXLE BROKE WITH NO PRIOR WARNING. THE TRAILER SWERVED ON THE ROAD ALMOST HITTING EVERYTHING IN ITS PATH. LATER THAT DAY MY TRUCK DID NOT WANT TO START ANYMORE I AM NOT SURE IF THAT HAS SOMETHING TO DO DIRECTLY WITH WHAT OCCURRED WITH THE TRAILER. *NM

Complaint and recall counts across every year of this model
Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers. Older model years have had longer for reports to accumulate.
