2005 Heartland Big Horn Problems
Owner-reported complaints filed with NHTSA, grouped by component

What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2005 Heartland Big Horn, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

Percentages are of component mentions. A single complaint can name more than one component, so these do not sum to the total complaint count.

SECOND REPORT: FIRST TIRE WAS REPORTED THIS DATE AS AN OUT-OF-ROUND CONDITION. THIS REPORT IS FOR THE SECOND TIRE WHICH IS A CORD SEPARATION REPORT AGAIN ON THE SAME VEHICLE 2005 GLENDALE TITANIUM MODEL 29E34TS ALL DETAILS ARE THE SAME IN REGARDS TO PURCHASE DATE AND OPERATIONAL DETAILS TO THE PREVIOUS REPORT OF FAILURE.\ SEE ODI # 10397321 FOR REFERENCE. *TR
GOODYEAR MARATHON 235/80/R16. PURCHASED 4 NEW TIRES IN MAY 2009. DURING ROUTINE INSPECTION APRIL 2011 FOUND TWO TIRES DEFECTIVE. ONE WAS DETERMINED BY ORIGINAL DEALER TO BE OUT-OF-ROUND, SECOND WAS DETERMINED TO HAVE CORD SEPARATION. BOTH ARE BEING REPLACED BY DEALER. BOTH TIRES HAD LESS THAN 11,000 MILES. PRESSURES WERE ALWAYS MAINTAINED AT 75 PSI. TRAILER WEIGHTS WERE VERIFIED AT BELOW RATED WEIGHT. SPEED NEVER EXCEEDED 60 MPH. DUE TO THE LARGE NUMBER OF SIMILAR EVENTS REPORTED TO NHTSA AS WELL AS ONLINE REPORTS ON VARIOUS WEB SITES, I WOULD LIKE TO SEE SOME ACTION BY THE GOVERNMENT TO INSURE THE PUBLIC SAFETY. VEHICLE IS A 2005 GLENDALE TITANIUM MODEL 29E34TS. THIS IS INCLUDED AS IT IS NOT AN AVAILABLE OPTION IN THE LATER DESCRIPTION FIELDS. *TR
Too few reports in this category for a page of its own — they appear in the full complaint list.
Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
