I HAVE HAD TWO OF THE ORIGINAL TOWMAX TIRE SIZE 225/75R15 TIRES BLOWOUT ON MY NEW FIFTH WHEEL. IN BOTH CASES I WAS GOING UNDER 65 MPH. A THIRD REPLACEMENT TOWMAX TIRE WAS PUT ON MY VEHICLE AND I DROVE HOME. THE NEXT DAY THAT TIRE WAS GOAT BECAUSE OF A CRACK IN THE SIDEWALL. IF I HAD DRIVEN ON IT FOR ANY DISTANCE, IT TOO WOULD HAVE BLOWN. HEARTLAND REPLACED ALL THREE TIRES, BUT I DON'T TRUST ANY OF THEM. UNFORTUNATELY THE BEST I CAN DO IS GET THE DEALERSHIP TO REPLACE THE TIRES WITH A DIFFERENT BRAND FOR A 50% DISCOUNT WHICH IS WHAT I AM DOING. ALL THREE PROBLEM TIRES WERE LESS THAN A YEAR OLD AND HAD ABOUT 2000 MILES ON 2 OF THEM AND LESS THAN 100 MILES ON THE THIRD ONE WITH THE CRACK. THESE TIRES ARE JUNK AND UNSAFE. MY RECOMMENDATION IS YOU AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS. THANKFULLY THIS ALL HAPPENED WHILE MY FIFTH WHEEL WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY SO ALL THE DAMAGE TO MY TRAILER WAS COVERED. IN THE CASE OF THE TWO BLOWOUTS I WAS DRIVING ON GOOD STRAIGHT HIGHWAY UNDER 65 MPH IN TEXAS ON COOL (60S) SUNNY DAYS. THANKFULLY I WAS ABLE TO HANDLE THE BLOWOUTS AND GET OFF TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD WITHOUT INCIDENT. THE FLAT OCCURRED AT THE FACILITY WHERE I KEEP MY TRAILER. THANKFULLY IT WAS ONLY A 70 MILE TRIP AND I WAS ABLE TO AVOID A BLOWOUT ON THAT TIRE. I LITERALLY LEFT THE TIRE SHOP AND DROVE TO THE STORAGE FACILITY.

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers. Older model years have had longer for reports to accumulate.
