2022 Honda Accord Suspension Problems

Owner-reported complaints naming the suspension system, filed with NHTSA

Data refreshed

Suspension reportsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

I am writing to file a complaint regarding a serious issue with my Honda vehicle involving the turbocharger system. The turbocharger appears to be failing, causing a significant reduction in vehicle speed and performance while driving. During operation, the vehicle suddenly loses power and acceleration, making it difficult and potentially unsafe to maintain normal traffic speeds. At the same time, multiple warning lights illuminate on the dashboard, indicating possible engine and system malfunctions. This issue creates a serious safety concern for both myself and other drivers, as the vehicle may unexpectedly slow down while traveling on highways or busy roadways. The condition has negatively impacted the reliability and dependability of my vehicle. I am requesting that Honda investigate this matter promptly and provide assistance in diagnosing and correcting the issue. If this problem is related to a known defect, recall, service bulletin, or warranty extension, I would appreciate being informed immediately.

Metal part of Rear upper and control arm bushings get rusty, they may come off the main piece and cause the driver to lose control of the vehicle and cause an accident. I have just put 25,000 miles on my Accord. Bought it a year ago.

- The vehicle had loose front suspensions from the manufacturer on a brand new 2022 Honda Accord - This was a major safety concern due to driving the vehicle on the free way and could have caused death. - The problem was addressed by dealership and took it in for repair. - Yes vehicle was inspected by an Authorized Honda service facility. - No warning notifications popped up, I started hear ticking noise when turning the steering wheel in both directions which prompted me to having an issue. This happened about 6 months for the date of purchase/lease.

The car shuffles on the concrete highway and causes a safety issue, and we cannot drive safely in this new vehicle purchase. I contacted my dealer Smat Honda, and Honda.com within 3 days and told them that I cannot drive the car, and I want to return it. It’s a safety risk, and it causes vertigo for both me and my wife.

The contact owns a 2022 Honda Accord. The contact stated while driving at 70 MPH on a mildly rough road, the vehicle wobbled significantly. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact continued to drive the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who test drove the vehicle on a smooth road and diagnosed that no issues were found. The dealer advised the contact that the issue was with the road where he had driven the vehicle; however, the contact had driven three other vehicles on the same mildly rough road surface and the vehicles did not experience the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the failure had been reoccurring increasingly while driving. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a case was opened. The failure mileage was approximately 500. The VIN was not available.

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
