TAIL LIGHTS ARE SUSCEPTIBLE TO WATER PENETRATION WHICH WILL EVENTUALLY SHORT OUT THE TAIL LIGHTS. THIS APPLIES TO THE PORTION OF THE TAIL LIGHT WHICH IS ATTACHED TO THE REAR HATCH DOOR. WATER ACCUMULATES IN THE WHITE PART OF THE LENS WHICH IS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE TAIL LIGHT IN 201 VAN (I.E., THE BACK UP LIGHTS). THERE IS APPARENTLY A DESIGN OR MANUFACTURING DEFECT IN THE SEALED LIGHT SYSTEM. I HAVE HAD THE GASKET ON THE LEFT TAIL LIGHT REPLACED IN MY 2010 ODYSSEY DUE TO WATER PENETRATION & COLLECTION. THE PROBLEM HAS RETURNED AND THE DEALER CONFIRMED NOTHING IS WRONG WITH THE GASKET. *TR

ACCUMULATING WATER HAS LEAD TO WATER FLOW INTO INTERIOR TRANSFERRING CAUSTIC SUBSTANCES INTO PASSENGER AREA THAT HAVE BURNED INTERIOR CARPET IN REAR COMPARTMENT FORTUNATELY CHEMICAL BURNING WAS DISCOVERED AND NEUTRALIZED BEFORE MAJOR FIRE ENSUED. THE BACKUP LIGHTS ONE MY 2010 HONDA ODYSSEY ARE NOT BRIGHT ENOUGH TO SEE ANYTHING. MY LOCAL HONDA DEALER STATED THIS WAS A COMMON COMPLAINT AND THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO TO REMEDY THE PROBLEM.
