Owner-reported complaints naming the airbag system, filed with NHTSA
Data refreshed
Airbags reportsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

My wife was driving the vehicle after dropping off my kid at a swim meet in Dearborn heights MI, the Side curtain and all the passenger side airbags deployed after what she thinks is hitting a pothole. She heard big sound, she initially thought that the window glasses were broken but later realized that all the passenger side airbags deployed. She immediately slowed and took a right on the neighboring street and parked the car and exited. She mentioned a burning smell but I think it’s because of the airbag deployment. I looked for any recalls on this vehicle, there were none. But I noticed a recall on a similar situation for the same models from year 2018-2022. ,

Airbag light is on, sensor ordered from Honda per dealership owner, Dino. Honda should be aware of this and reporting sensor light defects on airbags for drivers side, as that is a safety issue. Seller plans to have remedy by friend who works at Honda dealership, however with airbag safety it should be repaired at the Honda store for it to be reported to carfax that is was an error amd changed. The car shouldn't be driven until that is reported to car fax, fixed and changed.

WHILE SLOWLY DRIVING OVER A SET OF UNDULATIONS IN A BUSINESS PARKING LOT, THE VAN CAME DOWN ON ONE OF THE UNDULATIONS AND DEPLOYED THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR CURTAINS AND PASSENGER SEAT AIRBAGS. THIS IS A VMI CONVERTED MOBILITY VAN. BECAUSE THE VAN IS LOWER TO THE GROUND AND HEAVIER, IT DID DAMAGE TO THE BOTTOM OF THE VAN. BECAUSE OF THE LOW SPEED OF TRAVEL, AND THE NATURE OF THE VAN COMING DOWN ON THE UNDULATIONS (NOT SIDE IMPACT) THE AIRBAGS SEEMED TO HAVE DEPLOYED WITHOUT CAUSE. I AM CONCERNED THAT IF WE ARE DRIVING AND HIT A POTHOLE, THE AIRBAGS MAY DEPLOY. MY WIFE IS A PARAPLEGIC AND SHE WOULD BE TRAPPED IN THE VAN BECAUSE THE RAMP WILL NOT DEPLOY.
