The infotainment screen on my 2022 Honda Passport is constantly blacking out or freezing up. In addition to no use of radio or GPS when this happens, there is also no backup camera or rear cross traffic warning. This creates a safety issue. The vehicle has been to the dealer twice. While they can see the problem, they indicated there's no fault code, therefore they don't know know how to proceed with a repair. I opened a case with Honda Customer Service but was told they couldn't do anything and I need to talk to the service manager at the dealer, or just go to a different dealer or Honda Service Center.

The contact owns a 2022 Honda Passport. The contact stated that while driving 65 MPH with cruise control engaged, the vehicle unintendedly decelerated to 25 MPH. The accelerator pedal was depressed, but the vehicle failed to respond as needed. The contact pulled over safely. The engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle had received an oil change 5 days prior to the failure. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, who determined that the engine had seized and that the bottom lifter had failed. The mechanic determined that the engine needed to be replaced. The local dealer was contacted but offered no assistance. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 77,000.

“Road departure mitigation system problem” is the error that comes up on the dash. The error shuts down cruise control and slows the car down unexpectedly. I’ve taken the vehicle to the Honda dealer in Tampa Florida where I purchased it and they will not fix the vehicle. The error is a safety issue slowing the vehicle down in traffic and a driver distraction triggered by the Collision Mitigation System and Roadway Departure System.

First new car in my life and I’m 70. When we bought the car, within a week the entire dash board lit up with warnings. Call the dealer, they towed it to their shop and “calibrated” the Collision Mitigation front facing camera. This service was Completed but within the next 2 years, the situation repeated itself over and over But would always go away. The last time the system failed (with all of the bells and whistles) I went back to Honda and they informed me a replacement was required. $1500 later the front facing Multipurpose Camera was replaced. The car’s 3 year warranty expired 2 months before the needed replacement. The dealer told me that these cameras have been a significant problem, and are replaced often. The replacement camera has a different part number from what was installed on the car when built. This indicates that Honda knows of this problem, and has upgraded the camera but left it to the owners to replace if it is out of warranty (even 2 months). As a retired degreed Engineer, I think this is a significant safety issue….. to have all of the alarms activate while sitting in the drivers seat.

While driving and pressing on gas the car started beeping and started to brake. There was no obstruction in front of me to cause this. The break flashing signal didn’t come on. It just beeped and started to brake and then stopped

The forward-facing mulitpurpose camera has failed on numerous occasions. This causes failures of: Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Collision Mitigation System, Auto High-Beam, Road Departure Mitigation, and Lane Keeping Assist. There are numerous incidents of the same failure across most Honda models for the same issue, documented in various forums.

I was exiting a highway onto another highway. It was a pretty sharp exit to the right. The vehicle lost engine power, and I couldn't travel greater than about 40 miles/hour. The vehicle would not respond to my pressing the accelerator. Upon getting off the exit onto the next highway, I immediately pulled over and shut the vehicle off. I waited a few minutes before restarting the vehicle. Once I restarted the vehicle, it was back to normal. There were no further issues for the rest of the drive (about 90 miles). This has happened 3-4 times since I purchased the vehicle.

When driving the auto breaking is applied. The warning system flashes on the dash and the breaks are applied, there are no cars around me at the time. The system will also activate at times when going around a curve and a vehicle is approaching from the opposite direction.

While driving on one lane each way roads, my automatic emergency breaking would trigger on cars going in the opposite direction. This generally just had the breaking notification trigger and beep at me, but had ~ 12 incidents where my car would auto-break for cars going the other way, including an instance where the car behind me had to swerve around me to prevent an accident. I spent ~ 30 days working with my dealership on repairs, which included replacing all of the front-facing sensors and replacing all of the front facing cameras, but that did not 100% solve the issue. While driving recently, there are still incidents of the auto-breaking triggering on cars in different lanes or going in other directions.

I have twice now attempted to get this recall fixed and the dealer —Ken Garf Honda of Riverdale, Utah— has refused to schedule the appointment within 60 days of being notified. I attempted to schedule the recall repair in July when first notified of the recall and was told they could not schedule it with the parts being ordered. They said they’d order the parts and contact me, but never did. Today at 10:30 a.m. MT I attempted to again schedule the recall repair and they again said it could not be scheduled until the parts are ordered and they gave me an estimated date of when they would get back to me of 90 days from today. I reminded them the law requires it to be repaired within 60 days of notice and they hung up on me. They are now refusing to take my calls.

The vehicle stopped measuring speed accurately, resulting in all safety features and multiple vehicle measurements becoming non functional. The vehicle was towed to Fowler Honda, Norman OK. Diagnostics revealed the sensor bolt had backed out and the sensor had backed out (code C0039-62). The sensor and bolt were installed correctly and all systems functioned again. I was travelling at interstate highway speed of 70 mph when this occurred. The vehicle remained operable, but the alarms, display warnings and lack of accurate speed indication resulted in very confusing and troubled driving until I successfully exited the highway.

Vehicle has slammed on the brakes multiple times now one on the highway going 60mph and in the city 35mph. Today on a open 2 lane city road, and shadow on the road with no vehicles in site slammed on the auto brakes with a collision warning while the wife was driving slowed the vehicle down. Would of been easily rear ended if a vehicle was behind in our 2022 Honda Pilot, not a Passport listed for our VIN# your system is showing.
