2025 Honda Prologue Problems

Makes a clicking sound when turning. Honda unwilling to repair or look at car. It's been an ongoing issue with Honda Prologue owners.

I bought the vehicle with about 12k a few months go. While making a shap left turn I noticed some clicking. This happen seminary regularly. After doing some research I found out this was a common issue. Since, it didn't happen that often I ignored it. On Tuesday 6/30/2026 I took the vehicle in for a tire rotation and system update. The vehicle now has approximately twelve thousand miles. After the serviceI picked up my vehicle and went home. The next day after driving about a 75 miles, I noticed an audible clicking sound when I made a right turn. This sound happened about three more times that day. I took the vehicle back to a Honda dealer today and I was just notified that they are going to be replacing the front two control arms. The vehicle is still under warranty. I was told that this is a common issue by the honda dealer.And it should only take a few hours to fix panning my parts are received tomorrow morning. Other than the audible clicking sound, there were no other warning lights or indications. Based on the number of complaints that I read about online in honda's representatives, knowing that there is an issue, I think this should be further investigated in case there are other safety concerns.

I had the same issue that prompted a recall of the 2024 prologue, screens went completely black while I was driving on the interstate around 8 pm. The black screen spontaneously resolved after about one minute. That was really scary not having important operating info such as my speed and my GPS directions!

The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where the vehicle was diagnosed, and the contact was informed that the dealer was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 10,000.

On June 11, 2026, my 2025 Honda Prologue displayed a High Voltage System Alert immediately after I attempted to charge the vehicle. The vehicle would not accept a charge and became inoperable. I brought it to the dealership the same day, and the vehicle has remained there since. The dealership first replaced the charging port, but the vehicle still would not charge. On June 24, 2026, the dealership informed me that the transmission lines from the charging port to the battery needed to be replaced. Since that date, I have not received any updates, repair timeline, or confirmation that the issue is being addressed. The vehicle is currently unusable and cannot be charged. The high‑voltage alert indicates a potential electrical system failure involving the charging system and high‑voltage components, which may pose a safety risk. The defect has left the vehicle inoperable for over a month with no resolution.

Hi, yes the component is the CV axle on the driver side front wheel. Whenever I make a left turn, the driver side CV axle makes a clicking noise. Also, sometimes, when I make a right turn, especially when going slower, the same drive side front wheel CV makes a clicking noise. It is available for inspection upon request. The safety seems OK, but we are fearful that is could break and cause an accident. We brought the the car to the Honda Norm Reeves in Cerritos on April 3rd, 2026, and the dealership told us it was a common issue. And right now there are no parts available for it. It's not a safety issue, so we shouldn't worry about it. So we took them at their word. But we are still nervous about it so which is why we're reporting it. The vehicle has not been inspected by manufacturer, police, or insurance representatives. There were not any symptoms of warning lamps or messages of the problem prior to failure.

I was traveling at a steady speed of 35 MPH approaching an intersection with a red traffic signal. There was a single vehicle already stopped at the light, but it was positioned a significant distance ahead of my vehicle. Without any warning, driver input, or hazard present, my vehicle initiated an uncommanded emergency braking maneuver. The vehicle forcefully decelerated from 35 MPH to a complete stop (0 MPH) in the middle of the roadway. Prior to this incident, the vehicle's forward collision system has exhibited false positive detections, frequently issuing warnings for phantom vehicles or obstacles when the road ahead was completely clear

Exiting the interstate waiting to turn right and behind one car that was able 10 feet in front of me, the car suddenly slammed on the brakes hard enough to make me think I was hit by another car. There was nothing close by.

Both cv joints failed at less than 3,000 miles. They know about this but will no longer replace them as they know the new ones will fail immediately.

Rear backup camera image failed to provide adequate image at night. Backup lights were fully functional. Automobile lights were on and appeared fully functional. No warning lamps, messages, or symptoms of the problem appeared. Backup camera appeared fully functional in daylight. Backup camera lens was clean. Problem appeared to be either inadequate light provided by the backup lights OR inadequate image resolution in low light by the camera. As a result of this problem, the driver backed into a tree.

Backup camera is completely black when it is dark outside, making it worthless. It is fine during daylight hours. The local Honda dealer acknowledged that there is a problem, but stated that Honda has no solution for it at this time.

Recall on rear view cams and front dashboard connectivity is a continuous issue with the car and the dealership visits did not resolve the problem and recalls are still pending for want of spares and non availability of techs or some reasons by the dealer

At about 5000 miles the car began a slight clicking noise after turning left. When the wheel was straightening out. As time progressed it started happening both left and right turns and the noise got louder. Honda dealer said that was normal without looking at it. How is a loud clicking noise normal on a car with under 7000 miles. Trying to get axles replaced but they are denying the repair as it’s just loud and noisy. The wheel also has a slight vibration now.

While making the turns (either side left or right or u turns ) it makes tik tik loud sound at both wheels. Took the vehicle to Honda dealership they said it’s known issue can’t be fixed until the Honda company fixes the issue. I have had multiple occurrences where as I'm accelerating into a turn at normal /slow speeds the traction control activates and my vehicle almost comes to a stop almost causing an accident with the vehicles behind me. This was on dry pavement and not heavy acceleration so the traction system should not have activated.

During a normal commute on the highway, the vehicle suddenly lost all engine power and stalled in the middle of high speed traffic. The vehicle could not exceed 8 mph while attempting to pull to the side of the road for safety. There were no warning lights (other than a low tire pressures - normal for cold days) and no error messages. The car was unable to get started for about 10 minutes. Eventually, the engine started and the vehicle was able to make it back to our residence. The battery was near 55% at the time of the incident (out of a maximum of 80% recommended charge) In terms of safety, this was a near fatal incident, as suddenly losing power and stalling in the middle of the highway during high speed traffic and snowy conditions could have been devastating.

The camera visibility systems on this vehicle become extremely dark and largely unusable at night. This affects multiple cameras, including the rear backup camera, which is the most problematic. In low-light conditions, the display does not provide a usable image of the area around or behind the vehicle. When reversing at night, the rear camera image becomes so dark that pedestrians, obstacles, or other vehicles behind the car cannot be seen. This creates a significant safety hazard because the driver cannot rely on the camera system to safely maneuver or reverse the vehicle. All rear lights and exterior lighting on the vehicle are functioning properly, which suggests the issue is related to the camera system itself, image processing, or the vehicle’s configuration for low-light conditions rather than a lighting failure. Because the rearview camera system is intended to provide rear visibility and prevent back-over incidents, the system failing to provide a usable image at night defeats its intended safety purpose and creates a risk of a back-over crash or collision. The issue has been persistent since the vehicle was delivered and occurs consistently during nighttime operation and other low-light conditions. The rear visibility system appears unable to perform its intended safety function under normal nighttime driving conditions, raising concerns about whether the system is functioning as required under Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 111 (Rear Visibility).

As I was driving the car this error message came on. The battery was depleting faster than usual. Luckily I was able to get to a Honda dealer asap if not the car would go into “turtle mode” could stall in the middle of traffic. Also probably could not charge the car again due to this issue.

My 2025 Honda Prologue Elite is experiencing multiple safety-related issues. The front CV axles make a consistent clicking noise when turning, indicating a possible drivetrain or axle defect. The power tailgate also intermittently and unexpectedly closes on its own while loading or unloading, creating a risk of head injury. In addition, the infotainment screen and digital gauge cluster will randomly shut off while driving—sometimes for up to 30 seconds—leaving me without speed, range, or other essential telemetry while the vehicle is in motion. All of which the dealer will not address or states they can't replicate.

On october 1st i realized that my pilot power seat was making very bad noise when y push my back and the blind spot warning was giving me false alarms when i turn on the signals and make me scare because i don't see anyone next to me and the blind spot alarm turned on and this happens constantly. the rear cross traffic warning press the brake so hard that scares everyone and put my baby in risk because brakes so hard because my daughter is only [XXX] please fix all this issues. The contact owns a 2025 Honda Prologue. The contact stated that upon entering a parking lot at 5 MPH, the contact was attempting to park into a charging station. As the contact depressed the brake pedal, the vehicle failed to stop without warning. The contact repeatedly depressed the brake pedal as the vehicle accelerated and hit a tree. The air bags did not deploy upon impact as the contact's glasses flew off upon impact with the tree. The contact called the authorities, who informed her that they would not come to the scene if there were no injuries or damage to the tree. A police report was not filed. The contact sustained mental anguish and soreness in her collarbone, neck, and back. The contact later sought medical attention at an urgent care facility for her injuries. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where the contact was informed that the vehicle's computer was offline due to the accident, and the only codes that could be retrieved were codes related to the accident. The contact was informed that until the vehicle has been repaired for the front end damage, they would not be diagnose the cause of the brake failure. The manufacturer was notified of the accident and a case was filed. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 2,035
