The car's auto hold brakes locked by themselves and could not be released.
The contact owns a 2016 Hyundai Genesis. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked in the driveway, the vehicle started smoking. The contact smothered the smoke and noticed that the wiring harness was burned. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who diagnosed that the main wiring harness and the starter switch was burned along with several other wires. The contact sought the parts for the repair however, the part was not available due to NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V160000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic). The VIN was not included. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 97,000.

MAY ANTI-LOCK BRAKE LIGHT HAS BEEN COMMON FOR OVER A YEAR NOW. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP BUT THEY CLAIM THAT HEY COULD NOT FIND IT. 6 MONTH LATER I FIND OUT IT'S A RECALL FOR MY CAR FOR THIS EXACT REASON. THEY CLAIM THEY WOULD START TO FIX THIS PROBLEM MAY 1ST ... UNFORTUNATELY IT'S MAY 10TH AND I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANYTHING ABOUT MY CAR OR GETTING IT FIX.
I FOUND OUT THERE IS A RECALL ON MY CAR FROM YAHOO.COM, SO I DO SMELL A BURNING SMELL IN MY CAR.

THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 21V160000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC) HOWEVER, THE PART TO DO THE RECALL REPAIR WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO NALLEY HYUNDAI (7909 MALL PKWY, LITHONIA, GA 30038, (770) 999-0443) HOWEVER, THE MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE DEALER CONFIRMED THAT THE PART WAS NOT YET AVAILABLE FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. "TAKATA RECALL" I WAS IN MOTION DRIVING LESS THAN 30MILES/HOUR IN TRAFFIC, STOPPING FEW TIMES AND KEPT A GOOD DISTANCE. ALL OF A SUDDEN, I APPLIED THE BRAKES TO STOP BUT THE VEHICLE DID NOT STOP AND KEPT MOVING FAST. I APPLIED THE BRAKES SOO HARD, VEHICLE DID NOT STOP THE COLLISION SYSTEM THAT WAS SUPPOSE TO STOP THE VEHICLE AND AVOID THE COLLISON DID NOTHING. I REPORTED THE SAME ISSUE WHEN I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP DURING MY 1ST SERVICE AND EXPRESSED CONCERN REGARDING THE SENSORS NOT WORKING. THE CAR HAS ONLY 6,000 MILES. THE DAY WAS SUNNY AND THIS HAPPEN DURING RUSH HOUR OFF ON GOLF ROAD IN DES PLAINES ILLINOIS
