I was driving and the dashboard went haywire and all the warning lights started going on and off and the speedometer kept going down to 0 while driving. This kept going on and off and the radio would then go on and off as well.

The contact owns a 2024 Hyundai Venue. The contact stated that while starting the vehicle there was an abnormal sputtering sound coming from the vehicle. The contact was unsure if warning lights were illuminated. The contact stated that on a separate occasion, while the vehicle was at the dealer for a maintenance check, the contact was informed that rodents had chewed through the wiring coating and that the fuel line was leaking. The contact was informed that half of the heat shield was gone. The dealer replaced the fuel line and the exhaust line. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 3,400.

The soy-based coating on the harness surrounding critical wiring attracts squirrels who are keen to the scent resulting in wiring critical to the operation of the vehicle being chewed and malfunctioning. Not only is this repair expensive, but since one doesn't know it has happened, it is extremely dangerous when messing with critical components that affect the safe operation of the vehicle. Insurance has determined they will pay for the repair, but nothing is done to recoup the $500 deductible I had to pay, and the inconvenience of not having my vehicle for a long period of time. The replacement part is the same which means that this could happen repeatedly. . Hyundai refuses to compensate owners.

Upon purchasing the vehicle I noticed the windows do not go down and up properly but rather get stuck in both the down and up position. I consider this a hazard because I'm the event of an accident if the website is the only way out it does not operate and also when driving the ability to wind up your windows keeps you safe from dangerous persons who may be inclined to reach through the window to attack those in their cars

Since buying this vehicle on [XXX] my horn has become completely inoperative a total of three times. I live in Georgia and a working horn is required per GA Code § 40-8-70 (2024) "Every motor vehicle when operated upon a highway shall be equipped with a horn in good working order and capable of emitting sound audible under normal conditions from a distance of not less than 200 feet..". This is not a unique problem to only my vehicle. If you go through your records I am sure you find well over a thousand such instances with Hyundai vehicles. Not having a working horn is not only illegal in Georgia put it increases the risk of getting involved in a motor vehicle accident. Manufacturer communications
A bulletin sent by a manufacturer to its dealers. Not a recall, and repairs are not necessarily free.
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; ENGINE
Some vehicles may exhibit difficulty starting in cold weather. This bulletin provides the procedure to perform an inspection on the starter magnetic switch for potential freezing and, if necessary, replace the starter magnetic switch (solenoid) assembly.
AIR BAGS
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has issued an urgent safety advisory regarding dangerous, counterfeit driver‑side airbag inflators manufactured by Jilin Province Detiannuo Automobile Safety System Co., Ltd. (DTN), that have been identified in U.S. vehicles following prior crashes, theft, or non‑certified airbag replacements. These inflators are not approved for use, may rupture during deployment, and have caused serious injuries and fatalities. Please see attached announcement, provided by NHTSA, for more details.
AIR BAGS
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has identified the presence of substandard and dangerous driver’s-side airbag inflators manufactured by Jilin Province Detiannuo Automobile Safety System Co., Ltd. (DTN). These inflators were not supplied, approved, or authorized by the vehicle manufacturers and have primarily been found in vehicles that previously experienced a crash and underwent airbag replacement using non-genuine parts. These dangerous inflators have ruptured during deployment, posing a serious risk of injury or death due to metal fragments entering the vehicle cabin. To date, Hyundai is aware of three people who have died while driving a Hyundai vehicle with one of these substandard replacement airbag inflators that deployed in what likely would have been a survivable crash. NHTSA has issued a public advisory urging vehicle owners and service professionals to have vehicles inspected if there is reason to believe that a non-genuine replacement airbag may have been installed. Vehicles with salvage or rebuilt titles, prior airbag deployments, or unknown repair histories may present a higher risk. NHTSA strongly cautions against self-inspection by vehicle owners and recommends inspection by trained technicians.
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Some Venue (QX) vehicles may exhibit intermittent inoperative power window operation. This TSB provides the procedure to replace the driver power window switch in the driver front door.
EXTERIOR LIGHTING
This bulletin provides information regarding condensation related to the accumulated moisture in the headlamp, rear combination lamp, daytime running lamp (DRL), or fog lamp. This TSB illustrates the various causes of condensation inside the lamp assembly. Lamp assembly replacement is NOT necessary in most cases. This condition can be eliminated by turning on the lamps with the engine running for several minutes or during normal driving operation.
Certain 2020 – 2025 model year Venue vehicles may experience an inoperable horn that may be caused by foreign substances causing internal parts to oxidize. At Hyundai, we are committed to providing vehicles of outstanding quality and value. In an effort to meet this commitment, Hyundai is extending the warranty coverage for the Horn Assembly under this condition to 10 years or 120,000 miles from the date of original retail delivery or date of first use, and is valid for original and subsequent owners.
Manufacturers file copies of the bulletins they send to dealers with NHTSA. These often describe diagnostic or repair procedures for a known condition. They are not recalls: repairs described in a bulletin are usually only free if the vehicle is still under warranty or the manufacturer has extended coverage.

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers. Older model years have had longer for reports to accumulate.
