What the reports in each category say, in the owners' own words
Electrical
Reports naming the electrical system — wiring, battery, charging, control modules, infotainment and electrical accessories.
From owner reports, verbatim
I've had multiple instances of electrical "shorts" with the vehicle resulting in the sonar system setting off warnings while driving on the highway and having to be replaced twice; the driver mirror shorted and had to be replaced; for a period of months, I would put my belongings in the passenger seat of my vehicle and by the time I got to the driver side of the vehicle, it would lock on me, or I would put it in the back seat, and by the time I exited the driver's side door, the back left door would lock on me (fortunately it was just a work bag and not a child) because the left door lock shorted; and various components of the trunk have shorted on multiple occasions causing the trunk to open a few inches and then snap shut. I have videos of the foregoing in addition to the attached documentation.
The contact owns a 2023 Infiniti QX60. The contact stated that while driving approximately 15 MPH, the message to "Pull Over Safely" was displayed and the vehicle stalled. The contact was unable to restart the vehicle. The vehicle was later towed to the local dealer who diagnosed that the starter and electric fuel pump were faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 38,000.

Engine
Reports naming the engine itself — including stalling, misfires, oil consumption, cooling and internal engine components.
From owner reports, verbatim
The vehicle will randomly lurch forward quite a few inches after being placed in park - and even after the door has been opened, regardless of whether the car is parked on flat ground or on an incline, and regardless of whether the emergency brake is engaged. I have noticed this predominantly when backing into a parking spot and then having to shift from reverse to park. I reverse into a parking spot in a parking garage daily and have to ensure that no people or cars are walking/driving by before I put my car in park, which is both unsafe and ridiculous. The dealer could not replicate the issue when they looked at the car so nothing was done. Invoice is attached and video evidence can be provided upon request.
My 2023 Infiniti QX60 Autograph model caught fire in the engine in my driveway while parked on Thursday, [XXX] at approximately [XXX] EST. Fire department was dispatched and fire marshal completed a report. There were no warnings or indications prior to the fire. My vehicle had been parked in my driveway since approximately 12:40 pm EST the same day. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Fuel system
Reports naming fuel storage or delivery — tanks, pumps, lines, injectors and fuel leaks.
From owner reports, verbatim
This vehicle has ~43k miles and in the shop 3 times. Once I had computer issues and was replaced, and twice now to replace the fuel pump. First instance, I was at a stop sign and tried to accelerate but the car wouldn't move. It was like it was in neutral but was in drive. I had to shut car down, restart and was able to get to the dealership. Second time, I left work driving ~73 mph on [XXX] in Jacksonville Florida when out of nowhere I could feel the gas not taking. I then got a flashing message across my dashboard several times that said "Engine Stalled" . Imagine the fear in the middle of the highway and essentially having no gas power. Fortunately, since I was leaving at noon, it was not rush hour and fortunately this occurred right before an exit. I was able to remain calm and not panic and get over two lanes in time to pull off to an exit ramp all the while de-accelerating until I landed in the grass off the exit ramp. I cross [XXX] every day for work and cars losing power going 75 mph on [XXX] is terrifying and could easily lead to a wreck and in the most unfortunate incidents on that bridge; cars hit have gone over the side. Again, second time now they are supposedly replacing the fuel pump. How can two be bad? This is so dangerous for someone to be put in this situation. I have seen other posts on the Internet with fuel pump issues on the 2023 QX60 and similar circumstances. Car is in the shop now so don't have the receipt yet for the replacement. While driving my qx60 with my wife and 8month baby inside, car stalled twice on feb 15th and March 22nd , felt like it had an empty fuel tank , car stopped in traffic , had to pull baby, my wife and I to shoulder and leave vehicle stopped in traffic with emergency lights on ,call for a tow truck , car would start and die immediately , car only has 21000 miles Check engine light on with codes : P0090 Fuel Pressure Regulator 1 Control Circuit P0087 Fuel Rail/System Pressure Too Low Went to local dealership and service agent mentioned it was fuel pump, that many of these pumps are going bad for these new cars, I also research online forums and this seems to be an issue with the fuel pump on these cars. The replaced my fuel pump today March 31st , but not sure if they use same defective pump , probably since they won’t say I contacted Infiniti consumer affairs and file a case ,mainly asking what is Infiniti doing regarding all these fuel pumps that are failing? , is the same fuel pump getting installed when the original fails ? Why isnt there a recall for this? The lady who called me didn’t know what to say other than recalls don’t depend on us but on the NHTSA , that’s why I’m filing complaint today

Driver assistance
Reports naming forward-collision avoidance, lane keeping, back-over prevention, cruise control and related electronic driver-assistance systems.
From owner reports, verbatim
Warning light came on saying that the Lane departure warning and Forward were not working. Another message said "Unavailable High Cabin Temperature". After further investigation 2 of the 3 advanced navigation aids were flashing which means they may not be working correctly. In reality 1; the lane departure warning and functions stopped working. 2; Cruise Control was working. 3; Vehicle to vehicle distance control or AEB (Automatic Emergency Braking) seemed to work. I did not feel comfortable fully testing this last mode out. I did not want to accidently crash into the vehicle in front of me. 4. The Blind spot stopped working. 5. The TSR (Traffic Sign Recognition) seemed to stop working also. We have pictures and a video of the issues on the instrument cluster if needed. We were driving from Del CA to our home in Mesa AZ. First part of the trip Del Mar to Yuma AZ was fine. We stopped for lunch in Yuma AZ for like an hour. Outside temperature was like 109. No issues when we continued on toward glia Bend AZ. We stopped in Gila Bend AZ for a quick break. My safety was put at risk on my last quarter of my drive between Gila Bend AZ to my Home in Mesa AZ. I could no longer rely on the lane departure, Intelligent Lane Intervention and Blind Spot detection/intervention etc... We took our 2023 Infinity QX60 to Coulter Infinity Mesa to have the vehicle checked out on 8/3/24. No issue found. I even notified them that After understanding that the air was due to the cabin temperature, that I set my side of the vehicle to the LO setting which is 60 degrees. My wife already had her side of the car to like 68 degrees. When we got home I opened the hood almost immediately to check (feel) the AC units lines. They were both the same temperature as the outdoor air. Like 110. If there is technology that would allow these cameras to operate at above the 104 degrees stared in Technical Service bulletin ITB22-035 dated October 10, 2022, I feel a recall is in order. Thank You
My car rolls back and forward, more than normal, after parking and putting the park into park and lifting foot off the break. It rolls back so fast that it knocked my mother forward and it knocked my daughter to the ground. So, when I put the car in park and I release the break is when it rolls back far enough to become a safety concern. The car also lurches forward when applying the gas pedal from a stoped position which is a safety hazard because it could potentially hit another car in front of me. Lastly, the car has a major hesitation from a slower speed into a higher speed which has been an hazard because if a car is coming up fast behind me I can’t pick up speed fast enough to avoid collision. It always happens getting off a ramp and driving onto a state road that has a speed limit of 70mph. The car is currently being serviced for the 3rd time since February but they told me that they can’t fix it because the Infiniti service department doesn’t have “codes” for the 2023 yet and that if it were a 2022 then they could fix it right away.

Brakes
Reports naming service brakes, the antilock braking system, brake hoses, master cylinders or the parking brake.
From owner reports, verbatim
REAR BRAKE PADS NEED TO BE REPLACED AT 20K MILES.
The car lurches forward 3-5 inches when it is shifted into park. This happens regardless of flat ground or on an incline. This issue has happened since the purchase of the car in February 2023. I had the car inspected by Infiniti and they found no issues with the brakes/rotors or braking system. This happens regardless of if the parking brake is engaged or not.

Powertrain (other)
Powertrain reports that are not specifically the engine or transmission — driveshafts, axles, transfer cases and differentials.
From owner reports, verbatim
We went to a carwash and had to put the car in neutral. Not easy to do, but we finally got it in neutral. So, we come to the end of the wash, the car is rolling out and when we tried to move it back into drive, IT WOULDN'T GO! It kept on beeping every time we tried. Panic set in and my son jumped out to push the car out of the way but the car PUT THE TRANSMISSION IN PARK! He jumped back in and accidentally hit the brake which allowed him to push it back into drive.
there are multiple issues with the aforementioned vehicle and I have brought it to the dealership multiple times, but they stated that although Infiniti is aware of the issues they do not have a fix. When it rains out the locking mechanism fails on the vehicle and I am locked out of the vehicle. In addition to that, on multiple occasions, I place the car in park when I come to a stop and the vehicle does not stay in park. It goes back into drive. There is an overheating issue with the wireless charging pad. The charging pad is not charging the cell phone, but it is producing heat to the degree that it causes the iPhone to overheat and shut down . The Bluetooth system is a complete failure. During the middle of a drive when you are utilizing the navigation system the system completely shuts down. It is inoperable. This happens with Apple CarPlay specifically and it renders the system completely useless. this is a serious safety issue

Visibility
Reports naming windshields, glass, wipers, defrosters and mirrors.
From owner reports, verbatim
The side view mirrors slowly tilt up when the vehicle is running and snap back to the bottom position. This occurs on both the driver and passenger side mirrors. This occurs when the vehicle is parked as well as when in motion. It appears to occur more often after a carwash or rain.
•Charging pad does not charge. •Despite not charging, the pad overheats all phones. •USB port overheats phones •Door handles to do not disengage locks when it rains and you are locked out of the car •Bluetooth does not work on any phone, it stops working daily. •Map functions stops working daily. •Apple Car Play stops working daily. I cannot upload the video that shows the issue with the maps/bluetooth

Interior & seats
Reports naming seats, latches, locks, linkages and interior fittings.
From owner reports, verbatim
Power button works from third row when pushed. Even with weight in the seat the middle row can move freely on the track.
We leased a 2023 Infiniti QX60 in May 2023. After the birth of our third child recently in 2025, we discovered that when two car seats are installed in the second row using seat belts (as required), the seats cannot be flipped forward. This makes the third row completely inaccessible without removing the children and car seats each time, our children in the second row would also have to be forward facing to allow room for our car seat in the rear. Which each child at this point is rear facing and under 50lbs. Our child in the third row cannot enter and exit safely, and we cannot verify if he is buckled in correctly. In the event of an emergency, this poses a serious safety risk. The vehicle’s configuration is not suitable for safe transport of three children using car seats, which is a typical use case for this type of family vehicle.

I was Driving my 2023 QX60 today down a 55 mile road. No one was in front of me and two cars were very far behind me. I was not by an overpass or a golf course and it was a clear sunny day today. I heard loud pop and then the tinkling of glass going down the backside of my car. I opened the sunroof to see what had happened and immediately closed it as the glass started falling into the car from the broken sunroof. I pulled over, and looked at the sunroof. There were no rocks, golf balls, or anything else that would’ve explained why the sunroof exploded. When I called Infiniti to see why my brand new car sunroof exploded, I was told that that the sunroof explosion happens quite a bit to these cars and it is related to “thermal stress”. This is concerning to say the least and would seem to suggest a manufacturing defect on Infiniti’s part. The car is always in the garage and it was 44° outside today. I have had at least six different cars with a sunroof and this is never happened to anyone one of them before. When researching this online, I noticed that there are several cars with the same problem. Search [XXX] and a large forum of people are describing their exact same scenarios with their QX 60’s. Steering
Reports naming the steering system — racks, columns, power-steering assist and steering linkage.
From owner reports, verbatim
I purchased a new 2023 Infinity QX60 in Nov. of 2022. I had the vehicle for less than 2 months when the dashboard lit up with a shifter warning/malfunction while driving my kids to school on 2-8-23. I pulled over and stopped the vehicle to see what was going on. A shifter malfunction warning displayed. I was able to put the car in park but unable to put the shifter back in drive. After numerous tries, the vehicle shifted into drive after restarting the car. Was able to drive the vehicle straight to my local Infinity Dealership. I arrived prior to 7:30am and was promptly assisted. The car received a malfunction code and was shuttled home by the dealership while further diagnostics occurred. The dealership called to let me know the shifter malfunctioned and it wasn’t covered under the manufacturer warranty due to visible coffee residue. The car wasn’t safe to drive so I had no choice but to pay for the repair. The dealership had the shuttle service pick me up at my house and bring me back to the dealership in order to put me in a loaner vehicle while servicing. I was required to pay for the part so it could be ordered. The total cost was $748.80 for the part “new shifter”/labor. The shifter was on the desk but I was told the coffee residue was cleaned off of it. I picked my car back up on 2/13. I had a major incident that occurred on the vehicle on 2/15 that I just submitted for review. The car had a safety malfunction sensing a head on collision that forcefully stopped the car while I was driving around 40-50 mph.

Seat belts
Reports naming seat belts, buckles, retractors and pretensioners.
From owner reports, verbatim
I purchased a 2023 Infiniti QX60 3 months ago. This morning, one of the seatbelts pulled completely out when buckling up. The belt was frayed at the end as if it had been cut over a period of time. Had we been in an accident over the last month, that belt would not have protected the passenger in that seat. I'm concerned that if this happened on my brand new car, it could be an issue on other Infiniti vehicles.
