2006 Isuzu I-350 Problems

Owner-reported complaints filed with NHTSA, grouped by component

Data refreshed

Owner complaintsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

What this page shows

Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2006 Isuzu I-350, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.

Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

2006 ISUZU I-350 TRUCK THIS IS TO FILE A COMPLAINT REGARDING OUR 2006 ISUZU I-350 TRUCK PURCHASED IN 2006 AND RELATES TO A RECALL OF THE BRAKE SWITCH (GM RECALL NO. 06030, NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NO. 06V139000). FOLLOWING ARE THE CHRONOLOGICAL FACTS REGARDING MY COMPLAINT: AUGUST 26, 2006 - PURCHASED NEW TRUCK FROM BIG RED SPORTS/IMPORTS IN NORMAN, OKLAHOMA. JANUARY 2, 2007 - REPLACEMENT OF BRAKE SWITCH TO COMPLETE RECALL. PART NUMBER 8-25796-381-0 WAS USED IN REPLACEMENT. NO CHARGE DUE TO RECALL. OCTOBER 12, 2009 - REPLACEMENT AGAIN OF BRAKE SWITCH TO REPAIR INOPERABLE CRUISE CONTROL AND NO BRAKE LIGHTS. AGAIN, PART NUMBER 8-25796-381-0 WAS USED TO REPAIR THE DEFECTIVE PART INSTALLED ON JANUARY 2, 2007. CHARGE OF $121.27 PAID SINCE 'RECALL' HAD PREVIOUSLY BEEN WORKED. THE EXACT SAME PART NUMBER (8-25796-381-0) WAS USED FOR BOTH REPAIRS. THEREFORE, IT WOULD APPEAR THIS PART IS DEFECTIVE AND PERHAPS SHOULD BE RECALLED, OR THERE IS ANOTHER PROBLEM NOT YET IDENTIFIED THAT IS CAUSING THIS BRAKE SWITCH TO FAIL. THE SAFETY CONCERN I HAVE IS THAT MY SON USES THIS VEHICLE WHILE AWAY AT COLLEGE AND DROVE FOR SEVERAL WEEKS WITHOUT REALIZING HE DID NOT HAVE BRAKE LIGHTS. THIS SAFETY HAZARD COULD HAVE RESULTED IN A REAR-END COLLISION. *TR
