2003 Isuzu Isuzu Truck Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

THIS IS ON A 2003 IZUSU ASCENDER (DIDN'T SEE THAT VEHICLE OPTION LISTED) . I'M NOT SURE OF VIN OR ENGINE DETAILS. I'M NO CAR EXPERT. VEHICLE A FEW TIME SPORATICALLY WOULD STALL BUT RESTARTED. THIS HAPPENED OVER A PERIOD OF A FEW WEEKS. LEAD UP TO VEHICLE BEING SHUT OFF A DAYCARE THEN A FEW MINUTES LATER WOULD NOT START (DEAD). VEHICLE WOULD MAKE "TURNING OVER" SOUND IF PLACED IN NEUTRAL BUT AGAIN WOULD NOT START. VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO DEALER. DEALER STATED THEY NEEDED TO REPLACE IGITION SWITCH. Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
