2007 Isuzu Nqr Problems

Owner-reported complaints filed with NHTSA, grouped by component

Data refreshed

Owner complaintsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

What this page shows

Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2007 Isuzu Nqr, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.

Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

WE DRIVE THE TRUCK EVERYDAY FROM 1 LOCATION TO ANOTHER LOCATION FOR ABOUT 65 MILES PER DAY THE ODOMETER IS ABOUT 75,000 MILES. WE DO REGULAR SERVICE ON TIME AND THERE'S NO ACCIDENT SO FAR (TOUCH WOOD). THERE'S NO SYMPTOM FOR THE INCIDENT. THIS HAPPENED ON 8/15/2010 SUNDAY HEADING FROM MONTEREY PARK TO CHINO HILLS. THE DRIVER HEARD A NOISY SOUND IN THE FRONT, BUT DON'T KNOW WHERE. WE PARKED AT CHINO HILLS AND ON THE NEXT DAY TOWED TO BODY SHOP. AFTER A QUICK LOOK, HE TOLD US TO TOW TO THE DEALER. PECK ROAD TRUCK CENTER IN CITY OF INDUSTRY CHECKED AND SAID SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE ENGINE. HE NEGOTIATED WITH THE MANUFACTURER, ISUZU WHO SAID THE WARRANTY EXPIRED 2 MONTHS AGO. NO MATTER WHAT WE STILL HAVE TO FIX IT. THE SERVICE ADVISOR (MCMILLON, RON) SAID THE ENGINE IS TORN APART AND THE SERVICE QUOTE RIGHT NOW IS ESTIMATED ABOUT $8,724. HERE?S THE OPERATION DESCRIPTION: (1) DIAGNOSE, RAN ENGINE PERFORMANCE TEST, REMOVED ENGINE ASSY, PULLED HEAD, FOUND #3 CONNECTING ROD CRANK BAD. RECOMMEND TO REPLACE CRANK, ALL CONNECTING ROD BEARING, PISTON AND LINER #3. (2) EXTRA PARTS AND LABOR TO REPLACE, OIL PUMP, GEARS, GASKETS, HEAD BOLTS (STRETCHED), COLLERS, JETS (FOR OIL SPRAYING ON LINER), MISC GASKETS, NOT SEEN UNTIL ENGINE HAS BEEN TORN APART. WE BOUGHT THIS TRUCK ON 5/22/2007 FOR $50,121.33 AND YET THE ENGINE TORN APART. THIS IS BEYOND NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR. ISUZU SHOULD INSPECT THE PROBLEM AND PAY FOR THE REPAIR. WE DON' KNOW IF THE DEALER KEPT THE ENGINE OR TOOK A PICTURE YET. AT THIS POINT, WE DIDN'T ASK FOR ANY COMPENSATION ON THE INCONVENIENCE CAUSED BY THIS BROKE DOWN. *TR

2007 ISUZU NPR-HD, TRUCK GIVES A SOFT TO HARD VIBRATION DURING MOTION AT OR OVER 65MPH. THE TRUCK WAS UNDER WARRANTY, INFORMED DEALER ABOUT THE PROBLEM. TRUCK WAS TAKEN FOR REPAIRS AS VIBRATION IN FRONT, DEALER CHECKED AND ADVISED TIRES ARE BAD, "REPLACED ALL TIRES-PROBLEM NOT FIXED INFORMED DEALER", THEY CHECKED AND INFORMED RIMS ARE BAD "REPLACED WITH 2 NEW FRONT RIMS - PROBLEM NOT FIXED INFORMED DEALER". THEN DEALER PUT ALL 6 RIMS & TIRES FROM THEIR STOCK TO VERIFY THE PROBLEMS, AND THEN THEY INFORMED ME THE SHOCKS ARE BAD. WELL I HAVE REPLACED ALL 4 SHOCKS NOW, "PROBLEM NOT FIXED" AND I HAVE NOTICED THE THEIR IS A OIL LEAK ON POWER STEERING GEARBOX/PUMP. EACH TIME I TAKE THE TRUCK TO DEALER THEY JUST CHARGE $100.00 BUT CANT FIX THE PROBLEM. NOW THE WARRANTY IS OVER. I AM REALLY FRUSTRATED FOR THIS CONTINUING PROBLEM. *TR
