1991 Isuzu Rodeo Problems

Owner-reported complaints filed with NHTSA, grouped by component

Data refreshed

Owner complaintsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

What this page shows

Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 1991 Isuzu Rodeo, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.

Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

THE "RUSTED SHUT" REAR DOOR LOCKS AND REAR DOOR WINDOW ASSEMBLIES ARE/WERE A PROBLEM KNOWN TO AND ACKNOWLEDGED BY A SERVICE TECHNICIAN AT AN ISUZU DEALER YET THE NATIONAL CUSTOMER RELATIONS/SERVICE MANAGER DENIED THE PROBLEM EXISTED AND "BLAMED THE MESSENGER" SAYING THAT I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN ENOUGH TO HAVE THE CRANK AND LOCK ASSEMBLIES REMOVED AND LUBRICATED ONCE EVERY YEAR OR TWO BECAUSE I LIVE IN A COLD, WET STATE. ADDITIONALLY, THE FAILURES TO BOTH DOORS FOR BOTH THE LOCK AND THE WINDOW CRANK ASSEMBLIES OCCURRED NOT JUST ONCE BUT TWICE. I DON'T KNOW IF THIS AGENCY CAN DO ANYTHING ABOUT THIS DEFECT BUT I FEEL BETTER HAVING REPORTED IT AND THE INCREDIBLY OFFENSIVE AND BAD FAITH BEHAVIOR OF ISUZU MOTORS. *AK
