The defect: Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling certain 2017-2018 Jayco Designer, 2017-2021 Eagle HT, Eagle, Jay Feather, Jay Flight SLX, Jay Flight, North Point, Octane Superlite, Pinnacle, White Hawk, 2017-2020 Eagle HT, 2018-2021 Jay Flight Bungalow, 2017-2019 Octane, and 2019-2020 Eagle HTX travel trailers and fifth wheels equipped with a Winntec model 6020 two-stage propane regulator. The regulator may fail, causing an increase in propane pressure.
The risk: Increased propane pressure can enlarge the flames in gas appliances, increasing the risk of a fire.
The remedy: Dealers will replace the regulator and test the propane system for leaks, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 3, 2021. Owners may contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING:FUSES AND CIRCUIT BREAKERS

The defect: Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling certain 2019 Jayco North Point and Pinnacle fifth wheel trailers equipped with Carefree Altitude Series awnings. The awning circuit incorrectly has a 15amp fuse instead of a 5amp one.
The risk: In the event of a short circuit, the incorrect fuse can increase the risk of a fire.
The remedy: Jayco has notified owners, and dealers will replace the 15amp fuse with a 5amp fuse, free of charge. The recall began on March 22, 2019. Owners may contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-517-9137. Jayco's number for this recall is 9901428.

The defect: Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling certain 2018-2019 Eagle, Eagle HT, NorthPoint, Pinnacle, Talon and Seismic fifth-wheel recreational trailers. The strap that secures the liquid propane (LP) gas bottle may separate from its buckle and no longer secure the propane tank.
The risk: An unsecured propane tank could detach from the trailer and increase the risk of a crash or leak propane and increase the risk of a fire.
The remedy: Jayco will notify owners, and dealers will replace the propane tank securing strap with a new strap that has the correct crimping, free of charge. The recall began on July 27, 2018. Owners may contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-517-9137. Jayco's number for this recall is 9901385.

The contact owns a 2019 Jayco Pinnacle. The contact stated that the frame where the pin box connects to the 5th wheel hitch was built in a way that caused damage to the side wall of the fiberglass. The side wall area began to fracture. The RV was taken to the dealer where it was confirmed that the frame nearby the pin box was built in a way that caused additional damages and was a known issue. The contact was informed that a TSB with NHTSA ID Number: 10208077 (Structure) had the same failure, however, the repair was not covered. The contact was also informed that the additional damage to the side wall was not covered. The RV had not been repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and opened a case. The failure mileage was 12,000.

The contact owns a 2019 Jayco Pinnacle. The contact received a notification for NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V425000 (Equipment). The dealer had been notified about the recall; however, the contact was informed that parts were not yet available for the recall repair. The manufacturer had been notified of the recall. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.

The contact owns a 2019 Jayco Pinnacle. The contact noticed that the shackles and leaf spring was fractured and failed. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to the dealer however, the mechanic was unable to provide a diagnostic test. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 8,000.
