I own a vehicle which has 2 recalls associated with it. Mercedes says they are not responsible for the recall, sent me to Freightliner, who says they are not responsible, and sent me back to Mercedes. My vehicle VIN is [XXX]. Girard Water heater requires inspection for possible replacement of the gas valve. - an intermittent occurrence when the gas valve is not openig to light the burner of the water heater. Confirmation of old valve to be replaced is when inspection finds solid balck solenoids . New valve will have white rings around the top of each solenoid and does NOT require replacement.
