2010 Jayco Select Problems

Owner-reported complaints filed with NHTSA, grouped by component

Data refreshed

Owner complaintsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

BUBBLE BLISTER ABOUT 3 INCHES LONG ON SIDEWALL OF TIRE. JUST NOTICED ON PRE INSPECTION. TIRE WILL HAVE TO BE REPLACED AS I CANNOT AFFORD TO HAVE A BLOW OUT ON MY TRAILER. *TR

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

Too few reports in this category for a page of its own — they appear in the full complaint list.

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
