The contact owns a 2019 Jeep Wrangler. While the contact's daughter was driving at an undisclosed speed, the heated steering wheel feature was enabled; however, the heated steering wheel feature failed to function as intended. In addition, the contact became aware of a burning odor. The contact deactivated the heated steering wheel feature. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed with interior melting of the steering wheel. The contact was informed that the steering wheel and the steering wheel housing needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact was informed that the parts were ordered. The contact referenced an unknown recall; however, the VIN was not associated with a recall related to the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. The contact was advised to contact the NHTSA Hotline and report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 71,663.
The contact owns a 2019 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle stalled. The contact pulled over and waited for several minutes before restarting the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who replaced the wiring harness, but the failure persisted with the speedometer and fuel gauge fluctuating and the instrument panel icons flashing. Additionally, the vehicle was jerking and experienced a loss of power steering assist while driving. The vehicle was jumpstarted. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer; however, the vehicle was not yet diagnosed or repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V652000 (Electrical System); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 82,000.

The 3.5-inch Instrument Panel Cluster went completely black while operating the vehicle, causing a total loss of speedometer and critical safety indicators (violating FMVSS 101). Concurrently, the engine computer limited vehicle performance to 3,000 RPM (limp mode). The vehicle exhibits the exact failure mode detailed in NHTSA Campaign 24V-652 (Jeep Recall 30B), but the manufacturer has not yet added this VIN to the recall population.
Instrument panel cluster has malfunctioned. Spedometer, tachometer, odometer, fuel guage, oil temperature, tire pressuer, and several other dashboard displays both analog and digital are not functional. The instruments on the dashboard have gone blank and do not provide a reading when the car is powered on. As a consequence of the instrument panel cluster failure, I am unable to see my exact speed, potential vehicle warning indications, and fuel levels while operating the vehicle putting the safety of myself and others at risk. The vehichle has a history of dealership and mechanic inspections. No warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms were evident prior to the failure of the instrument panel cluster.

The contact owns a 2019 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while driving approximately 50 MPH, the contact experienced the death wobble, and the vehicle started shaking violently. There was no warning light illuminated. The driver was able to maintain control of the vehicle; however, the vehicle failed to exceed 50 MPH without the failure recurring. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed and determined that the track bar had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was also taken to the dealer, where it was determined that the track bar had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 84,000.
I was driving on the interstate and when I went over a little bump my truck started to shake like it was going to loose control. I read up on this and people who own jeeps refer to it as the death waddle is there a recall on this issue.

VEHICLE & INCIDENT: 2019 Jeep Wrangler JL 2.0L Turbo. While climbing an extended grade on Hwy 87, vehicle experienced a sudden sluggish throttle anomaly and rapid coolant temperature spike from ~215F to 255F under load. Vehicle was pulled off and shut down within ~20 seconds. SUSPECTED FAILURE MODE & UNDERHOOD FIRE: Upon opening the hood, pressurized coolant had sprayed across the engine bay from a split in the smaller rubber hose branch of the engine coolant outlet assembly (Mopar PN 68280797AC). The hose split longitudinally ~13mm with the center ~32mm from the hose end. The vehicle is equipped with a Baja Designs T-Fitting to replace 68280784A The hot, pressurized coolant sprayed directly onto the exposed, center section of the turbocharger between the compressor and turbine sections and on the turbine section itself. The coolant is suspected to have flash-ignited on contact with the turbo, creating an active under hood fire that began spreading to the hood insulation liner. The fire was successfully doused roadside with water, preventing a total vehicle burn-down. No other fuel sources were noted and the lines to the turbocharger were intact and did not show evidence of a leak. SAFETY CONCERN / HAZARD FOR NHTSA: 1. FIRE HAZARD: Pressurized factory coolant hoses and plastic junctions on the 2.0T GMET4 are routed in close proximity to the unshielded turbine housing. A hose rupture under normal grade-climbing thermal loads results in high-pressure atomized coolant hitting an ignition source well above its auto-ignition point. 2. COMPONENT DEGRADATION: Rubber lines near the engine outlet appear susceptible to heat-fatigue failure under high ambient/high load conditions, posing a sudden fire hazard at highway speeds. REPAIR: Roadside trim/re-clamp of the split hose allowed temporary transit. Replacing full hose assembly (68280797AC), upgrading radiator lines, and performing a full OAT coolant flush/vacuum refill. No oil contamination was noted after the incident.
The 48V eTorque Power Pack Unit (PPU), BPCM, and associated cables failed on my 2019 Jeep Wrangler, causing the vehicle to stall and lose all acceleration while driving on the highway. All components are available for inspection upon request. In June 2025, a non-Jeep service center identified stored diagnostic code P0A9C-00 (48V hybrid battery temperature sensor circuit performance failure) along with multiple low voltage codes in the power steering system. The technician noted the issue needed to be addressed by an authorized Jeep dealer, as there was insufficient information to perform a repair on the 48V hybrid system. In September 2025, while driving on the highway, the engine stalled and the vehicle completely lost acceleration and would not restart. The vehicle required towing to an authorized Jeep dealer. A sudden and unexpected loss of acceleration and engine stall on a highway creates an extreme risk of rear-end collision and potential serious injury or fatality to the driver and other motorists. The problem was confirmed by an authorized FCA/Jeep dealer who found the same diagnostic code P0A9C-00, along with corrosion buildup on the 48V connector pins and BPCM pins. Two separate FCA STAR cases were opened by the dealer. The Power Pack Unit Battery was identified as the failed component. The dealer confirmed that the 48V cables required for repair are currently unavailable through Chrysler under any parts specifier, meaning FCA cannot supply the necessary parts to remedy this known defect. The vehicle has been inspected by an authorized FCA dealer on two separate occasions nine months apart, with the defect remaining unresolved on both visits due to FCA parts unavailability. Warning symptoms including low voltage codes and the P0A9C-00 fault code were first identified in June 2025, approximately three months before the highway stall event, indicating this was a progressive and worsening defect. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The driver was able to safely move the vehicle to the side of the road. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed, and the contact was informed that the ABS module had failed. The local dealer was contacted and advised that the replacement part was on backorder and referred the contact to the manufacturer for assistance. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and confirmed that the replacement part was not available. The failure mileage was approximately 68,482.

My speedometer blacked out couldnt see the fuel gage or speedometer. Light flickering, auto park engages, steering wheel locks up.
Engine lights on Glass Recalibration failed multiple times. Engine failure when Jeep comes to a complete stop vehicle totally shuts down and needs to be restarted. When manufacture was contacted: not able to sell new engine. Resolution used engine with same issue. No real Resolution.

I am reporting a defect with the driver-side sun visor on my 2019 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. The sun visor mounting mechanism is faulty and has broken/detached during normal use. When this occurs, the visor drops down unexpectedly and obstructs the driver’s forward view. This creates a serious safety hazard, as the visor can suddenly block visibility while the vehicle is in motion, increasing the risk of a crash. The failure happened without excessive force or misuse, only routine flipping and positioning of the visor. I am aware that many other owners of 2019 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited vehicles have experienced the same sun visor failure, suggesting a widespread defect in the design or materials used. This appears to be a known and recurring issue affecting multiple vehicles of the same model year. I believe this defect should be investigated as a safety-related issue and considered for a recall, as it directly impacts driver visibility and safe vehicle operation.

While driving the last couple days, our 2019 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon unlimited started the “Death Wobble”, an uncontrollable violent shaking from left to right. Occurred three days in a row, took vehicle to Jeep dealership to ensure extended warranty coverage

ABS pump and module combination is making brake calipers to not released. It’s been two times in 6 months my brakes are used up and calipers locked. Jeep knows this issue across its brand of vehicles but not called for a recall. Parts are also in back order that says lot of vehicles has issues. Confirmed with local dealership.

The vehicle is experiencing severe, premature galvanic corrosion on the doors, hinges, and hood due to a documented factory defect where aluminum panels press directly against steel hinges without proper isolation (acknowledged by the manufacturer in TSB 31-001-24).This is a critical structural and safety hazard covered under Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) 206, which regulates door locks and door retention components. The advanced sub-surface corrosion is causing the metal surrounding the door hinges to degrade and oxidize, causing the paint to blister, bubble, and flake off. Over time, this structural failure poses an imminent safety risk of causing the door hinges to seize or bind, potentially jamming the doors shut during an emergency and trapping occupants inside the vehicle. Furthermore, the degradation of these hinge components creates a severe risk of the doors failing and opening unexpectedly while the vehicle is in motion at highway speeds.The manufacturer is refusing to address this structural defect because the vehicle passed its 5-year calendar warranty window, ignoring the fact that this sub-surface chemical reaction takes years to visibly manifest. This defect requires a formal safety investigation and an expanded recall to protect drivers from door-retention failures.
Body: Paint around door hinges is bubbling. Vehicle was purchased new in 2019, vehicle is not near salt water or driven in, harsh offroad conditions. Vehicle has been garaged daily since purchase and has 44,000 miles on it. Electrical: Instrument cluster reboots and blanks out and speedometer stops working while driving. This vehicle was not included in previous recall #FCA 30B, but the symptoms are identical to that recall. Vehicle has been taken to the dealer who has offered no insight as to what the problem may be. Dealer was shown a video of the problem happening while driving. The attached photo is taken from a video of the cluster while driving. Both the main battery and the Auxiliary battery were replaced to see if that was an issue, it was not.

The instrument panel cluster that shows the speed, odometer, and fuel levels has been sporadically 'going out' while driving. On Friday 7/18, it went out completely and did not come back on. This affects safety of driving in that I have no idea how fast I'm driving or fuel levels. I have to rely on iphone capabilities for speed, which is not as accurate. The problem has been inspected by a mechanic and he indicated that the Instrument Panel Cluster would need to be replaced at a cost of close to $2,000. He indicated that there was a recall on 2018-2024 Jeep Wrangler models involving a safety issue with the IPC and that it may experience a short circuit and fail, potentially causing the display to go blank and hindering the driver's ability to see critical information like speed and warning lights. Recall# 24V652000 indicated this failure could increase the risk of a crash. Per the mechanic recall info was sent October 2024 yet I did not receive anything. Per the site my VIN# is not included in this recall. I believe this is the EXACT issue that other vehicles were called and this particular vehicle should be included in this IPC recall.
Interior & seats

My pulled passenger seat forward to get access to rear seat. When I tried to return the seat to secure position it would not latch in place and plastic and metal parts including a spring fell out onto floor. Now the seat just slides back and forth. If that would have broke with a passenger in the seat they would have been severely injured. My Jeep only has 24747 miles on it. It is out of warranty and the dealer wants $716.34 plus tax to repair it. This is outrageous and very dangerous. This vehicle is designed for of road usage. The seats should be much more durable.
The contact owns a 2019 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while he was cleaning the vehicle, the front driver’s seat failed to recline. The contact also found an unknown plastic part on the floor in the vehicle. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed with needing the front driver’s side seat frame to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 6,661.
Seat belts

The contact owns a 2019 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while her daughter was driving at an unknown speed, she fell asleep while driving the vehicle collided with a mailbox, rolled over, and crashed into a tree where the vehicle came to a stop. The contact stated that only one air bag was deployed and the seat belt released her during the collision. The contact's daughter sustained face, arms, side, back side, and leg injuries. Medical attention was required. A police report was filed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 85,000.
The seatbelt retractor did NOT work on my driver seatbelt. I almost got into an accident and the seatbelt never tightened across my chest. I hurt my wrist in the process by being pushed into my steering wheel. There is already a recall on this exact part for SOME Jeep Wranglers manufactured in 2019, but mine did not fall into the active recall. Clearly it should be.

Airbags

Hit tree at 15 to 20 mph. Airbags did not deploy. Passenger incurred fractured sternum from seatbelt. Car totaled due to damaged bumper and bent frame.

WHILE DRIVING THE WRANGLER THE DASH WILL FREEZE GO BLACK AND RESET ITSELF WITHOUT WARING. YOU COULD BE PARKED OR DRIVING AND IT WILL HAPPEN. ACCORDING TO YOUR WEBSITE IT NOT INVOLVED IN THE RECALL FOR THE DASH YET IT IS DOING EXACTLY WHAT THE RECALL IS STATING IN THE BULLENTIN. IT'S QUITE NERVERACKING AND DANGEROUS WHEN IT HAPPENS WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. IT'S BEEN HAPPENING FOR MONTHS NOW AND WE ARE TOLD IT'S NOT PART OF THE RECALL. THE HEADLIGHT ALSO RANDOMLY GO OUT AND YOU HAVE TO SHUT THEM OFF AND TURN THEM BACK ON TO RESET THEM. THAT HAPPENS RANDOMLY AT ALL HOURS OF THE DAY AND NIGHT.
Over the last 7+ months, my vehicle will not go into gear. When I push the starter, the vehilce flashes a number of warning lights and codes then the service shifter warning comes on and stays on. The vehicle will then not go into gear. The dealership has now looked at it 3 times and can not find the issue. They can see the code, have replaced the auxillary battery and traced the wiring. This happens approximately 3 times a week. It leaves me stranded where ever I am because it will not go into gear and has to be towed. A few hours later, it will start as normal. On other occassions, it does the same thing to me while I am driving! All of the warning indicators will flash and I will lose power steering. If I pull the car over and turn it off and on again, I gain power steering back. This has happened to me while driving on the highway. The first time I was on a 4 lane highway with no power steering. The contact owns a 2019 Jeep Wrangler equipped with Bridgestone Tires, Tire Line: Dueler H/T 685, Tire Size: 245/75/R17, DOT Number: 9BM1DHV0322. The contact stated while driving 65 MPH, the front passenger’s side tire experienced a blowout. The contact pulled off to the shoulder of the highway and replaced the tire with the spare tire. The tire was taken to an independent mechanic where upon inspection, the mechanic discovered an abnormal tear in the tire along the sidewall. The mechanic stated that the tire was a defective tire. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The tire was not replaced. The vehicle failure mileage was approximately 44,200. The tire failure mileage was approximately 4,200.
