The defect: THE PARKING BRAKE RELEASE CABLE MAY BIND IF IT IS TOO CLOSE TO THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD. ALSO, THE OIL HOSE MAY CONTACT THE BRAKE PUMP BRACKET AND EVENTUALLY CAUSE OIL TO LEAK FROM THE HYDRO-MAX SYSTEM.
The risk: THIS COULD CAUSE THE PARKING BRAKE TO BE INOPERATIVE, WHICH COULD ALLOW THE TRUCK TO ROLL AND COULD RESULT IN AN ACCIDENT.
The remedy: REPLACE AND REROUTE CABLE TO PREVENT BINDING. ALSO INSPECT AND REPLACE DAMAGED HOSE.

The defect: PARK BRAKE ACUATOR LEVER COULD FAIL AND BRAKE WOULD NOT ENGAGE WHEN THE GEAR SHIFT LEVER IS PUT IN THE "P" PARK POSITION.
The risk: VEHICLE COULD MOVE AFTER IT IS PARKED, CREATING POTENTIALFOR A CRASH AND INJURY.
The remedy: REPLACE PARK BRAKE ACTUATOR LEVER WITH LEVER OF HEAVIER DUTY DESIGN.

The remedy: REMOVE INTERFERING SUPPROT AND INSTALL NEW SUPPORT THAT CANNOT CONTACT THE TIRE.
