2022 Keystone Passport Problems
Owner-reported complaints filed with NHTSA, grouped by component

What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2022 Keystone Passport, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.
Reports by component
Ranked by how many owner reports name each component category
- Other / unspecified250.0%

Percentages are of component mentions. A single complaint can name more than one component, so these do not sum to the total complaint count.

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The bolts attaching the lower cable pulleys for the living room slide shear off. The damaged components are still in the wall of my camper. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? If they had broken going down the road during the next right hand turn the slide could come out unexpectedly causing collision or roll over of the travel trailer. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? The travel trailer has been repaired on two separate occasions by the authorized selling dealership. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? I called the manufacturer to alert them of this issue and they were not interested. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? There were no warning signs the pulleys will just burst off the walls. My travel trailer has only been used 6 times since being purchased new.
There are 4 bolts that hold the backing plate to the axle. All 4 were missing from one of the wheels. The brakes of that wheel were over heating to the point of billowing out smoke. We called the dealer and the tech thought a stuck brake. Told me how to cut the wires for just that wheel. Trailer was dropped off at the dealer for repair and is available to view. I also took two photos. I feel as though there was a risk of our wheel falling off, potentially causing us to roll the trailer or the wheel hitting someone else.

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
