Owner-reported complaints filed with NHTSA, grouped by component

What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2015 Keystone Springdale, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

I DO NOT KNOW WHEN THE FAILURE OCCURRED OR EXACT EVENT, AND NEITHER DID THE PREVIOUS OWNER. SO I STATED THE DATE THE FAILURE WAS DISCOVERED AND GUESSED SPEED AND TOTAL MILEAGE (TRAILER HAS BEEN TO BADLANDS SOUTH DAKOTA AND UPPER MICHIGAN). BASED ON FAILURE MODE, I PRESUME IT HAPPENED WHILE TURNING OR BACKING THE DUAL AXLE TRAILER. I JUST PURCHASED A 2015 KEYSTONE SPRINGDALE SUMMERLAND TRAILER AND FOUND THE RIGHT REAR SPRING HANGER WAS BROKEN OFF, BUT NOT DUE A WELD FAILURE, THE I-BEAM FAILED AND A PORTION IS STILL ATTACHED TO THE HANGER. THE DAMAGE OCCURRED SOME TIME AGO BASED ON RUST ON THE BROKEN I-BEAM PIECES. I SPOKE WITH THE PREVIOUS OWNER WHO BOUGHT IT NEW, NEVER HAD ANY EVENT THAT CAUSED IT AND HE WAS UNAWARE OF THE DAMAGE. HOWEVER THEY HAD JUST HAD A BLOW-OUT ON THEIR LAST TRIP ON ONE OF THE REAR TIRES. THE CURRENT SPARE TIRE HAS VERY OBVIOUS UNEVEN WEAR ON ONE SIDE, I ASSUME WAS DUE TO AXLE MISALIGNMENT SINCE ONE HANGER NOT ATTACHED. FAILED SPRING HANGER/I-BEAM IS RUBBING ON A BLACK IRON LP GAS LINE. THERE IS NO REINFORCEMENT ABOVE THE SPRING HANGERS TO STOP ANY TWISTING MOTION THAT WOULD FATIGUE THE I-BEAM. LOOKS TO BE THE SAME ISSUE AS IN NHTSA RECALL NO. : 17V-611.
Too few reports in this category for a page of its own — they appear in the full complaint list.
Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
