I WAS RIDING THE SAID SCOOTER ON WET PAVEMENT (NOT RAIN) ON A 25 MILE PER HOUR SIDE STREET. AS I WAS COMING TO A STOP AT A STOP SIGN, THE VEHICLE JUST SKIDDED SIDEWAYS THROWING ME ON THE ROAD RESULTING IN MINOR INJURIES AND DAMAGES TO THE VEHICLE. HAD THERE BEEN OTHER VEHICLES ON THE ROAD, THE INJURIES MIGHT HAVE BEEN MUCH SEVERE. THIS IS AN ALMOST NEW VEHICLE WITH ONLY 528 MILES ON IT AND THE TIRES INFLATED TO SPECIFICATION. ON FURTHER INVESTIGATION, ON FORUMS, IT SEEMS LIKE THE HENG SHIN TIRES ISSUED ON THIS VEHICLE DO NOT HAVE WET TRACTION. SUCH A PRODUCT SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN RELEASED TO THE PUBLIC AS ROADWORTHY WITHOUT PROPER TESTING.

It may be necessary to replace worn rubber isolators in 237 series side mount systems. This communication provides how to modify the isolator, and remove and replace with new isolator material. In some cases, the isolator rib or ribs may split and move away from the main channel. This communication also provides how to remove and replace such portion with a section of isolator material.
